Democrats illegally give sanctuary to tens of thousands of illegal aliens and illegal alien criminals, and in so doing, fancy themselves saintlike. This cultivates votes as payment from the Latino communities with questionable loyalties. Trump essentially grants sanctuary legally to one American whom he believes was unjustly convicted, the the left bursts open pouring out vindictiveness.
You can impeach and remove him from office for the crimes of which you say he is guilty. Were that the case with Stones lies, that they knew Trump was guilty of treason, he would have been impeached and removed. Consequently, Stone obviously did not conspire with Trump. Therefore Trumps commutation of Stones sentence was not a returned favor.
Trump commuted his sentence so Stone wouldn't tell what he knew, which could still embarrass him and affect his re-election chances, ( which are nil anyway but Trump is nuts) I doubt Mueller would be called upon to prosecute Trump, but I find it hard to credit that some AG is not slavering to prosecute Trump in 2021.
They don't need no stinking proof. They are artisans, defiant of reason, and floating about like royalty, making decrees. Ironically, they accuse Trump of being a Monarch simply because he will not bow down to them or show obeisance to their correct God.
Pretty sure that "common sense" is not accepted as evidence or proof. It is the same as what my mother used to call "chimney corner scripture". (stuff that people say are in the Bible just because they've heard it is even though they can never seem to locate it)
"Chimney corner scripture" I like it. Stone WAS duly convicted of lying to Congress. How much he actually lied about what is still a matter of speculation, I freely admit, but there is no question it was some and the idea that some of it may have been dirt on Donnie is not illogical
"Artistes" not artisans. Artistes claim privilege due to artistic pretension, artisans are skilled tradespeople. Trump is another "A" word from those two entirely And one of my major problems with Trumpers is how much animosity they seem to feel towards anyone not admitting Trump to be second only to God himself in his benefit to mankind, if not first, usually along with an almost godlike sense of perspicacity in themselves for recognizing the Bronze Paragon.
Thanks for the correction "artisans/artistes". But no, we don't worship Trump. That would be silly....not to mention dangerous and nuts.
I don't even like Trump. In my perfect world, he would handily win reelection, maintaining control of the Senate for the GOP...and then die quietly in his sleep from natural causes in the early months of 2021. But I can't actually wish that on anyone as I like to think that I'm a Christian ( bad one but still a Christian). I have a fairly high regard for you Alek as you seem to deliberately avoid obvious insults aimed at President Trump and to oppose him mainly on principles and not personality.
Thank you, (but I do just really dislike him as a person anyway) In some ways I think the Senate is worse, but that's politics
How many MAGA hats do you see on the news when riots, burning and looting are taking place? How is that consistent with your dim view of Trump ethics?
I'm talking about Trump himself and his view that since the DoJ said he could not be indicted while a Sitting President he feels he actually did nothing wrong, though there is considerable evidence to the contrary. Most Trumpers support that The rioters didn't feel they were getting away with anything so much as they felt justified in doing their misdeeds. (I don't agree with that, but it is what they felt)
Trump did exactly that. He has used his pardon power in a principled way. He demonstrated that current justice system is wrong. When unelected special prosecutors can put literally anyone to jail by scaring, confusing, pulling words out of context and eventually make person to slander him/herself.
Pardoning Sheriff Arpaio despite this man being culpable for crimes against humanity, for boasting that his prisons were worse than the concentration camps of Nazi Germany was nothing shy of appalling. But commuting the sentence of a man that has been convicted by a jury of his peers for crimes against the United States is unforgivable.
Bull Twaddle - was convicted by a Kangaroo court during a Kangaroo clown show - just as Trump has stated.
That is problem, that jury court means nothing. So Trump did a right thing. (I am not Trump supporter, but he is right and consistent) Something has to be done with this kind of prosecution where person can be put in jail for just conversational mistakes.
