And how many Democratic leaning voters would have voted for Trump anyway, and why didn't they vote? Maybe because they were Democratic leaning but didn't want Hillary?

The scenario makes sense. The ones who voted didn't want Hillary

You only have "franchise" to vote for President because your state gives it to you.
No one has the right to vote for President, and no one is disenfranchised when the person most people voted for loses the election.

For what you want, you need an amendment, and that isn't going to happen. Each state gets the same number of votes in the election as that have in Congress, so you'd have to change the size of the house. The only other way is to make it national law on how states decide how to cast their ballots. That also will never happen.

There are way too few huge states and way too many small states to get consensus to silence the voices of the smaller states.

In the Senate, every state gets the same number. That's as far from "silence" as you can get.

This is about minority rule, in this case that means White. And since Republicans have been trying to make it permanent, they are aiming for Supremacy.

    White Supremacy.

Pure Reversal of Fortune. The MSM is a pack of dirty dog liars
making sure a Democrat gets elected.
For example a story was written and had since been
suppressed about the newfound number of cases in Florida.
Or Covid-19.Turned out around 300 facilities tested Postive for
Coronavirus at 100%.Every single test came up positive.
That is a virtual Impossibility. So Florida responded and corrected
the Huge error.Turns out those 100 % of cases was actually 9.4%.
A 10 times error. The story about this huge error was suppressed
and buried. That kind of thing is probably what happened in other
    big states like Texas.
The MSM is going along with all this Bunk. They refuse to act
shocked but not before they Bury { suppress } any story that makes
Covid-19 seem mild or ending. This is the same crap the country was
put thru with the Mueller Special Counsel.
    Translation ... :
The American electorate are purposedly being
Lied to and about Trump.Like they were about Russian
Collusion.Or Quid Pro Quo and Ukraine.
THE Only difference today vs. the 60's is that
    Today it is Legion.

Why do you think whites are in a minority? The census bureau's 2019 estimate is that 60.4% of Americans are caucasian, 18.3% are hispanic, 13.4% are black and the rest are Asian.

There's a type of Republican that has been in a cold sweat panic over this for over a decade. In 2012 Republicans wrote a report that said they needed to be nicer to minorities or get consigned to the ash heap of history.

It's a trend, 109 counties became majority nonwhite since 2000. That trend will continue.

"Overall, 293 U.S. counties were majority nonwhite in 2018..

In 21 of the 25 biggest U.S. counties by population, nonwhite groups together make up more than half of residents."
    https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2019/08/21/u-s-counties-majority-nonwhite/

"The new statistics project that the nation will become “minority white” in 2045. During that year, whites will comprise 49.7 percent of the population in contrast to 24.6 percent for Hispanics, 13.1 percent for blacks, 7.9 percent for Asians, and 3.8 percent for multiracial populations."

    That assertion is factually inaccurate.

"The vast majority of ballots have been counted nearly two weeks after one of the biggest political upsets in modern U.S. history catapulted Donald Trump to the presidency.

Estimates show more than 58 percent of eligible voters went to the polls during the 2016 election, nearly breaking even with the turnout rate set during the last presidential election in 2012, even as the final tallies in states like California continue to be calculated, according to statistics collected by the U.S. Elections Project."
    https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/voter-turnout-2016-elections

She held just shy of a 3M vote margin of victory with the approx. 58% of the eligible votes cast. Therefore, a majority of eligible voters cast their vote for Hillary. Trump, in fact, was rejected by a majority of voters. Not that I expect empirical evidence to change your mind.

Hillary received 48.2% of the popular vote. A majority of voters voted against her.

    Just happened to catch this.

    2016 election
    Total votes 136,669,276
    Votes, Hillary 65,853,514 48.18%
    Votes, not Hillary 70,815,762 51.82% << majority

You are wrong, and you know it.

Not that I expect empirical evidence to change your mind.

Now I get it! You convict Trump's bad pennies....put them in jail...and he pulls them out and puts them back on the street.
How cool is that!!!? He's the best!

Some here are arguing that Hillary was supported by a majority of voters. There is a certain sort of Democrat which will argue to a point beyond absurdity rather than admit they made a mistake. We have a couple of them with us now.

Pretty nitpicky, but okay. She got a majority of the votes cast.

Also note that many, many people claim that only the two parties are real, and all other votes are wasted, so maybe from their POV? /shrug -

    Thanks for the context.

Lol...gotta laugh... it was all good til you added "sort and reassemble what you hear".
That's like..."giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys".
...or like listening to Tucker Carlson.

No it's not about minority rule. You elect your Congressional representatives by majority rule but not the President. The congressional representatives from California are elected to represent California as the people there want them to do. The President represents all Americans and the EC guarantees we all get some voice in who it will be.

Not much of one. It is a matter of counting and calculating. But I don't see what that has to do with what I posted.

Yeah, never mind. I hate this nitpicky stuff, so I don't put a ton of thought into it. I just wanted to understand the context by which this is valuable information. I've got it now.
