Oh for Christ sake I just answered that!
The EU has twice the GDP of the US and what are they doing to help human suffering?
Not everything is on Trump no matter how convenient that is!

Then if you are concerned about human life why are you not proportionally concerned about the larger risk of starvation? The devotion to this virus alone seems fake on your part. What part of this do YOU not understand?

Your post gave no GDP figures. Here are the GDP figures for the US and EU in 2018:
    Search Results
    United States/Gross domestic product (2018 )
    20.54 trillion USD (2018 )

    $18.8 trillion
The European Union's GDP was estimated to be $18.8 trillion (nominal) in 2018, representing about 22% of the global economy.

One day you'll get something right. "The EU has two or three times the GDP of the US." LOL

As images of people wearing surgical masks flashed across the screen, Morgan Freeman’s deep, soothing voice delivered a message to America: "When you wear a mask, you have my respect. Because your mask doesn’t protect you, it protects me."

Morgan Freeman is right of what he says and if and when you do, not only Mr. Freeman but there are others as well. If the law were to say to wear a mask in certain public places, you do so or suffer consequences. It's simple as that.

It still pays to wear the mask to protect yourself and others. Simple as that.

Nice try but the EU also assumes no control over it’s own defense and leaves that up to the US. Any concerted effort to occupy it by Russia or China would make it easy prey without US intervention.

I'm not hiding anything here, I don't fear the truth, I know what the facts are and I don't fear the facts. Facts are facts and when the facts are true, then then they're true and that's the bottom line. What's your problem? Maybe you're the one that is craven here. We will recover eventually I have no problem with that. I keep the faith.

We have data from traffic fatalities so we know the scope of the impact it can have. Coronavirus, not so much. It could be more or it could be less. The issue is we don't know. If the data shows in 2 years that tens of millions died from the virus, should we just shrug our shoulders and say, "well, next time we will do better." To prevent traffic fatalities, governments and local city leaders enact laws to prevent deaths like enforcing speeding limits and issuing citations. Cities are trying to legislate similar means to prevent the spread like mask policies, but some police departments have openly stated they won't enforce the rule much to the approval of some. When you have people who are irresponsible and police departments who won't enforce policy, sometimes states are forced to lockdown.

People complain about their right to not wear a mask, but let me ask you how many people have died from a terrorist attack involving commercial airliners? If the number is insignificant, it's my right to not take off my shoes or have to wait in long lines going through airport security right?

So many things to worry about. Why not put priorities in first place? This virus is not a priority at present!

Both France and the UK have independent nuclear deterrents.
Not that this has anything to do with the coronavirus.
Are you deflecting because you are losing so badly on the actual topic of the thread that you want to show your ignorance on another subject instead?

California’s governor announces rules that would force most schools to start the year with virtual learning. The number of deaths in the country is increasing, and more than half the states have enacted mask orders.

The city of Miami Beach, Fla., established an 8 p.m. curfew for its South Beach entertainment district.

18 states are in a red zone now and there maybe more to come if we don't do the right things and do them now. We've got to keep our distances at 6 feet or more, keep our hands washed 20 seconds and/or sanitized at all times, wear the masks even if the government tells us so. we had it good in May and June. What went wrong? We're not doing the right thing here and more are dying and that needs to be turned around and now.

The “red zone” is described in the 359-web page report as “those people main-centered statistical spots (CBSAs) and counties that for the duration of the last 7 days reported equally new conditions earlier mentioned 100 for each 100,000 populace, and a diagnostic exam positivity end result above 10%.”

The report outlines actions counties in the crimson zone ought to just take. It encourages residents to “have on a mask at all instances exterior the residence and sustain actual physical distance.” And it endorses that community officials “close bars and gyms” and “restrict social gatherings to 10 men and women or less,” which would indicate rolling back reopening provisions in these places.

The report will come irrespective of President Donald Trump’s insistence that states reopen and a drive to mail the nation’s children back to college, even as cases raise.
“Now we are open up, and we want to keep open up and we will continue to be open. We are not closing. We’ll place out the fires as they occur out,” Trump said at a White Dwelling event earlier this month.

The next 18 states are in the pink zone for cases: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nevada, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Utah.

The report says the adhering to 11 states are in the red zone for test positivity: Alabama, Florida, Ga, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nevada, South Carolina, Texas, Washington. The 11 states in the purple zone for examination positivity are also in the red zone for cases, with the exception of Washington state.

I am hardly losing this argument.
7 out of 100,000 of the earths inhabitants have died from this virus and those numbers are probably high given the conflation of presumed cases and deaths.

I choose to worry about real threats.

I will leave it to you to get soaked up in this drama.

As far as the military goes perhaps the Europeans should insist on a US pullout if they are not needed.
