If they don't self identity as a hyphenated American they get a full vote so yes your attempt to say others label them is off subject and attempted obfuscation.
On your second question the answer is yes. When I see people protesting calling themselves Mexican American and carrying a Mexico flag I doubt their full allegiance to America.

    1. Let's agree to disagree on that subject.
    2. So, a person cannot be proud of their heritage and their America citizenship?

Sure they can thus dividing their loyalties. When they vote for US policies are they basing it on whats best for America or does what's best for Mexico factor into the decision?

So, a person loses 50% of their vote if they vote on policies that may be of personal interest to themselves? Isn't that how ALL people vote?

Why are you under the illusion that what you say needs to be the truth is not?

Voting in America for whats best for another country is not personal it's geopolitical.

I suppose that post makes sense to someone out there but to my lucid mind it's complete gibberish.

Maybe I didn't word it well. For example, let's say a Mexican-American person votes for immigration issues that benefits them and their family...Are they voting for their country or their personal interests?

It seems like you are suggesting that any vote that isn't deemed "worthy" toward the "American cause" (subjective) should only count for half.

Again you attempt obfuscation. I clearly stated the issue is voting in America for the benefit of another country.

So American's who have an Italian, Irish, Greek, Polish, etc flag should also get half a vote? Or does the half of vote only pertain to certain types? Certain types being black or Mexican??? Hmmmm

I'm not sure why you keep saying that. It's not accurate.

I am trying to figure out how it's determined that someone's vote is counted as 50% solely because of their race/ethnicity. I even mentioned that Native Americans are the only ones that didn't have their ancestors immigrate (or were brought against their will) to the USA.

People fly flags to show heritage, as well. Plenty of Irish flags at St. Patrick's Day parades.

Immigration benefits lots of people. Is an employer supporting immigration voting for Mexico or the United States?

Voting one's self interest is exactly that, not support for a foreign country.

Understandable. Doesn't that mean the person is voting for American interests and should have 100% of their vote count? What if a person has a hyphenated label and opposed immigration? Their vote only counts 50%? Basically, a vote is only counted at 100% if the voters' views align with some list of subjective points someone establishes is Pro-American.

I'm just not understanding how that can work without being discriminatory.

Hyphenation of AMERICANS is just another tool for divide and conquer used by politicians to STAY in power and control.

Yep. Next thing you know, hyphenated Americans will have separate bathrooms and such.

I hope your idea gets traction. While I don't really see the point of the hyphenated argument other than to troll some groups I have always strongly supported the idea that not all votes should be counted equally. That is why I am a fan of the EC.

So, those whose votes reflect support for Israel, and thus Trump, only get half a vote?

And now you create a straw man instead of obfuscation. You just can't debate this subject honestly can you.

I'll ask again. How can one determine whose vote counts at 50% or 100% without being discriminatory?

Support of Israel is fine if you think doing so is helpful to America but if you vote based on what's best for Israel because you identify as Israeli American you should get half a vote.

Simple. As stated in the OP they fill in the box that says American before their votes counted. If they fill in hyphenated American they get a hyphenated vote.

So, what prevents them from checking "American" and voting however they want regardless if it benefits the country or not?
