Dumbest take ever. Incoming NSA director takes a call from Russian ambassador, typical and wouldn't be doing his job if he didn't jesus. Now entire the wacko left screaming collusion, and even wanted Jeff Sessions investigated because he bumped into the Russian Ambassador at a f'ing party where dems were present. They ask Flynn a question if they discussed sanctions, which he damn sure should've been seeing that he was to NSA director in a month, say's I don't remember. Please another Lefty failed fantasy period. Nothing improper, nothing illegal, and certainly nothing every incoming NSA director (rep and dem) hasn't done in the modern era.
Probably best to ask them if Big Foot is real, did Johnson and the military–industrial complex really kill JFK to keep Vietnam going, are space aliens real, and if they ask a question, tell the FBI to talk to your lawyer and refuse to answer any questions until you have one. "Like hey dude, I got to go out and polish my bike, here, go talk to such and such, I'm busy." "The United States deplores any intentional effort to denigrate the religious beliefs of [those that believe Big Foot is real, the Deep State exists, and Flynn was totally innocent and committed no crime]." (Clinton) "We reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of [those that believe Democrats have large seed pods in their gardens and are controlled by plant based aliens]." (Obama)
Well since you have the most basic facts about this wrong.......Flynn called Kysliak, not the other way around. But then again, im sure you only watch Faux News. And he called him 5 TIMES. Also, basic fact. No matter who the incoming demonstration is, they cannot negotiate on behalf o the United States. Thats just a FACT that Faux news will never tell you. Hence the questions from the investigators about the current sanctions, which he legally could ask that in a month, but he cannot do that before the administration is sworn in.The Hatch act literally prohibits it.
Logan Act? SNIP Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both. ENDSNIP https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logan_Act#Text I know it's rarely been put to the test, but since it's still on the books, that's EXACTLY what Flynn did in his calls... Every ****ing phrase
The idea that because they were "incoming" that they had the right to "negotiate" is one thing, but the core of this is that they know exactly what they did. They really believe that Flynn, even after they were warned about him and his illegal acts with the government of Turkey, and his contacts with a representative of a foreign country that had just interfered in our elections, should not have even been questions is a level of hubris I cant even comprehend. And this all comes from the right side of the isle. These are the very same people that spent 4 years and countless millions of dollars of taxpayer money to go after Hillary Clinton because they didn't like a talking point she provided for the motive of the Benghazi attacks. The same people that lost their minds when Obama wore a brown suit. Its laughable
Well, the likely good news is that with Sullivan's request and approval for the en banc hearing (held tomorrow if I remember correctly), there is a decent chance that the legal part of this isn't resolved before the inauguration. So if Trump wants Flynn to walk, he's likely going to have to pardon him, which he certainly will. But our legal system will have determined that Michael Flynn is, in fact, a felon.. if only for the relatively lame act of lying to the FBI instead of his true crime. I'm not one to throw the word treason around lightly, but Flynn's actions are almost as close to it as Trump at Helsinki...
Oh cool what did they negotiate? Everyone knows Flynn couldn't negotiate because he had no power to negotiate anything yet genius. When he became NSA director a couple weeks later he could negotiate anything he f'ing wanted too. Bottom line this is the dumbest thing you could've come up with to go after Flynn on, it was a joke and everyone but the wacko left knows it.
The response to the Obama sanctions. It's in plain text in the indictment, and Flynn NEVER denied that. Really ? Lying to investigators is dumb to charge someone on ? You seem to leave out that Flynn was already in trouble for not registering as a lobbyist for a foreign government, and was then caught negotiating with a representative of another foreign government, that had ironically just meddled in out election. And FTR, Flynn was caught while the NSA was listening in on Kislyak, they weren't spying on Flynn. You guys act like the US Government was spying on the Trump team, when in reality they were spying on foreign governments and Flynn was just caught red handed.
My answer to Flynn (for the umtillionth time) is in Post #183, but I'll break it down further "Any citizen of the United States" - Flynn "wherever he may be" - Dominican Republic ", who, without authority of the United States" - Nope ", directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof" - Phone call with Russian ambassador ", with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof" - asking Kisylak to control the Russian response ", in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States" - Obama Sanctions ", shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both." - Unless of course, William Barr is told Flynn needs to walk It's so on point, it's almost like they wrote the law AFTER the Flynn phone call...
So, just to be clear, you concede my point that it was Obama's policy to push Russia into an escalation of tensions?
So, just to be clear, you're retracting your statement that Flynn was undermining Obama's policy? There are only those two choices.
Flynn's appeals case is today. That sloshing noise is swamp water. U.S. Court of Appeals for D.C. Circuit looks very fair and balanced.
Rao is going to take another one on the chin.... remember the phrase 'astonishingly bad' https://www.vox.com/2020/6/24/21301...rges-neomi-rao-karen-henderson-robert-wilkins There is zero chance that appeal decision doesn't get overturned. This is even more clear than the McGahn decision overrule... Oh, and tough **** on the judge numbers... try to understand the law involved instead of the partisan count (would be my recommendation)
