Quote where I said any such thing of the video you posted.

I think you should reread my posts.

You said "Why would that be relevant? What is in the car is immaterial to my assessment of how the police should have responded."

And i showed a shooting of why you are wrong.

Not claiming "mistakes" not claiming " training" an actual event for you to watch to show your ignorance on the matter.

I’d say we have a ton of facts.

They should have let their fellow officer try to subdue the perp by himself? Is that what you're trying to say seriously? You didn't answer my question. If their training says point a gun not a taser when a suspect is in close proximity and holding a knife should they have ignored their training?

    Nope.
He did have a long wrap sheet. Was allegedly a sex offender, had previously drunkenly pulled a gun on numerous innocent people at a bar, and resisted arrest for that incident.

Sure, there are some facts. None conclusive yet.

Doesn’t matter. The narrative is already established and the looting begun.

I said that of your video? Going to have to provide context.

Not that he was right to ignore police commands or attempt to flee, but I often reach for the steering wheel to steady myself before I step into the car.

Would you say they acted in accordance with their training? Does their training say 100% never use a taser against a suspect with a knife?
You said it is quite possible.
How do you know my suggested course of action was not in line with their training?

Notice a common thread in 99% of these? Guess?....OK, they resist and it escelates the situation.

You are applying my assessment of one situation to another that I was not responding to you.
I’ve acknowledged that all situations are different. Given that what makes you think I believe all situations are the same and my assume that should hold true for each?

you need to find a better response than death to resisting imo.

Only thing I’ve argued in this thread was the officers’ involved poor training and decision making process.
Not branching off into other topics right now.

I knew you would use that strawman. Why do so many blacks seem to think they are entitled to resist arrest? It only escalates the situation.

But knowing what little we know, is walking away from the cops with a gun a reason to be killed? If he had a gun? Are there not many lawful scenarios in which one could do this in America?

I guess that's the problem. If all we know was a white man was walking away from police and was shot, what would this post look like?

I think the police kill too many people of all races, but that's not an anti-police thing. It's what we've turned them into as a society and it's making it hard for them to do their jobs. The behavior of many police departments to me says they are over worked, under paid, and not trusted. Those are problems we should solve.

Do you have any statistics to back up this statement?

More over, what do you think about Randy Weaver resisting arrest and what happened at Ruby Ridge? Or David Koresh at Waco?

I don't know enough about police training to know what is taught in their jurisdiction. It is what I read on the subject and it does make sense to hold a gun and not a taser when you are in close proximity to a perp with a knife. If that is correct then shouldn't they have followed their training and acted accordingly? See if you can answer it this time.

This case, resisting. George Floyd, resisting. How many killed by police were NOT resisting? Color does not matter, when you resist, use of force goes up.

The dudes FB cover photo was a pair of cops with pig masks on...

**** outta here with that sympathy bullshit.

I think there are FAR more people openly hostile to officers than there are people openly hostile to minorities.

Just like you are FAR more likely to be harassed for wearing a MAGA hat then you are for being black. Woe is me!

"One witness, who did not want his name used but said he had an unobstructed view of the events leading to the shooting, said Blake pushed past police and that’s when they struck him with Tasers.

“He didn’t even flinch,” the witness said. “He just kept walking.”"
