    If it is done immediately, the Moderator can tackle the liar on stage and on live TV with the fact that the candidate lied. That is the difference.

    Dead issue, Trump will never agree, but Biden should still campaign on it as Trump not wanting it will make Trump look the liar he is.

    That should be a major thrust of Biden's whole strategy. Even for a politician, Trump is the most prolific and mendacious liar I can recall in recent memory and it casts everything he says into doubt. If Biden can catch him in several lies early on then he cuts his main tactic,( which is blustering braggadocio where he takes full credit for the sunrise), off right at the knees

    Better that Biden actually pulls the fact-checking from his head. If he can prove Trump a liar with sources from memory he will make Trump the demented one while being brilliant himself

    I never said that Biden doesn't or won't lie. Just that Donald Trump's lies are usually pretty obvious, which they are. If you can't agree to that, whether you like him or hate him, it's you wearing the blinders.

    I read some of these quotes and immediately think "he didn't say that!" so I go find the video and watch it in disbelief. The comments from BOTH sides would be hilarious if these two weren't running for the most powerful job in the world. That makes it downright scary.

    While I get that the Demokrat with the mental acuity of a head of cabbage needs the Candy Crowleys of the world to help him through the debate, we don't need anyone interjecting themselves into the proceedings.

    The so-called "fact checkers" will have all the time in the world to do that after the debate.
