Newsflash- a lot of blacks are sick of identity politics too. I think its safe to say they're not 'defending white America', just defending America. Identi politics are the wedge dividing us. Trump is opposing that wedge, and most of us that support him -of all ethnicities- oppose that wedge as well.

Why do the police always think they are breaking the law.
As far as I know (I am not African American so I cant really speak for them although working in those neighborhood for years you see plenty of differences in how they are treated by the law) they would like better police reform. Defund the police is not getting rid of them like trump wants you to believe. Its shifting some funds to cut down on police interactions.
Police have a very stressful job I'm sure but some handle it better than others. Sometimes it might be better to send someone out if it's not a violent situation...

If they don't break the law then they don't get arrested. Treating police officers with respect would go a long way to improving relations.

In areas with very high crime rates police will be more suspicious. But still, if nobody is breaking a law then nobody will be arrested.

Shifting funds to cut down on police interactions? What does that mean? Where are these funds going? Explain.

 

I think its demonstrably provable that in the cases where protests have ensued from police interactions with suspects the police have been more than fair and even shown more deference and restraint than was necessary. In each case things did not go bad and people did not get shot or killed until the suspect became violent with authorities. I would not want to send out an unarmed social worker or similar into a situation where the suspect could kill them, kidnap them, rape them, etc... if things went wrong. Like it or not, the raw undeniable stats show that as a percentage of the population, blacks commit violent crimes at a rate 7-10 times higher than all other races - mainly against other blacks - in the cities its even higher. I am sure racial profiling might account for a small amount of the disparity in crime statistics - but it would likely be a small amount. The numbers are just too overwhelming.

One could easily argue that the crime-ridden areas are perfect empirical evidence that 50 years of voting Democrat has failed the black community.
