Now why would they think they might need such insurance? Does anyone remember the Watergate or Whitewater investigators doing this? Here's hoping once Flynn's case is dismissed he goes after the dirty cops in a civil suit, they'll be needing that insurance. It also explains why so many phones were wiped clean.

Why would Obama, the FBI and the US Intelligence agencies have to make up a fake conspiracy between Trump and the Russians, and not let it be known to the US public, before the election.

Correct, federal employees do not need liability insurance to do their jobs. If there was an wrongdoing, it would go through an outlined review process.

 

Liability insurance would not be needed here. They did not task themselves to do this work.
