I hope that she recovers nicely and I hope that the president and his family did not catch it. Regardless of how I feel politically about these people I do not wish this nasty virus on anyone.
Lol. Potential loss of up to 30% of lung capacity, potential loss of smell and taste, etc..etc.. And that's just what we know of short term. Is this gonna reemerge again down the line like other viruses can do? Here's hoping once it's gone, it's gone.
While I agree, it seems like it would be impossible at this late date and especially because he's been fanning the flames about Biden "hiding" in these past few months. I am more concerned they might say he had it and beat it thereby making others think that masks, social distancing and hand washing aren't that important. People will fail to understand that he has access to the best doctors and medications and just takeaway that none of it matters. Or worse, he gets it and is asymptomatic. He'll spread it to others completely unaware (and probably unconcerned).
No after his behaviour the other night on the debate I do not want him to get sick - he would an absolute nightmare patient for any healthcare professional. Mind you healthcare professionals have ways of dealing with patients who are full of..... Those patients may end asking “Halt who goes there friend or enema.....” (very old very bad medical joke)
Yep! Just give that time to Biden as a free advertising platform. That would stop candidates trying to leverage the debates
Hope is symptomatic. She is young and presumably healthy and is still symptomatic, which probably is a sign of a large viral load. Therefore she may have been very infectious, and in an airplane cabin and a helicopter cabin, and these people all maskless like a picture of her walking to Marine One shows, I think we'll see more people with the virus in the president's inner circle.
From a medical standpoint, does that necessarily mean he will be symptomatic? Could he get it and be asymptomatic? I'm still trying to find out if she was at the debates and were they socially distancing. This could spread far and wide in that WH bubble. Edited to add: I mean IF he got it from her.
Jared Kushner, Dan Scavino, and Nicholas Luna were seen walking with Hicks to Marine One, all of them - including Hicks - maskless.
He knows the media can’t bash him for hiding in the bunker if he’s been exposed to corona. It’s definitely the responsible choice. Which is why I question if it’s true.
This on the same day tapes Come out of his wife saying **** Christmas and **** kids in cages? I’m very skeptical
Yes, it is very concerning Initial viral load exposure appears to have a large impact on severity of the disease
True. Self-quarantining until they get the test results is prudent. I meant more that he would want to "prove" that it's *harmless* and *virtually nobody gets it* so he would want to bounce back as quickly as possible. Not being able to participate after a positive test will look "weak" to him. I'm hoping she will be fine and it hasn't spread to others but who knows with recirculated air and hectic travel schedules.
Yes, he could get it and be asymptomatic. People are different, with different susceptibility factors like vitamin D level, blood type, previous exposure to common cold coronaviruses, etc. She flew with Trump to the debate. On the way back she was already feeling lousy so she was isolated on Air Force One. But she could have been contagious 3 days earlier. This is looking bad. Well, we have pretty much one single strain going around so he'll have the same strain. I still think that his individual susceptibility is what will determine if he gets to be symptomatic or not, if he caught it from her. Like I said one bad sign is that if a young and presumably healthy person like her is symptomatic, she probably got a large inoculation and developed a large viral load so chances are that she was very contagious. ------------- This thing of the president saying he doesn't know what his result is and he is waiting for the result which might come tomorrow sounds suspicious to me, because most likely they did a rapid test, a 15-minute test, as a screening, and then a PCR for confirmation. I mean, if the rapid test had a negative result, why wouldn't he say so? I'm guessing that he got a positive 15-minute antigen test and now is waiting for the RT-PCR result. That's what we do in my hospital: a rapid test followed by the RT-PCR.
Thanks for explaining it. I was concerned that it's worse than they are letting on right now. I cannot even imagine how many people travel with him and most without masks. I know they aren't a guarantee but every little bit helps, I believe. I guess the world will know by tomorrow.
Hope is 31 years old. It's not that likely that she has pre-existing conditions. Why in the hell would she be taking hydroxychloroquine? It doesn't work. It has zero prophylaxis properties as confirmed by randomized controlled trials (like the one I'll be linking to, next). I'm sick and tired of still hearing BS about hydroxychloroquine. It's a dead horse. It. Doesn't. Work. https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2016638 "After high-risk or moderate-risk exposure to Covid-19, hydroxychloroquine did not prevent illness compatible with Covid-19 or confirmed infection when used as postexposure prophylaxis"
Or not. They may simply lie. It wouldn't be the first nor the last time that the White House tells lies.
