Even there...ALL that would provide to most people is $1200. Does that help? Sure. The House packages (both of them) have that $1200 AND a return of the $600 extra unemployment money as well as another round of PPE loans for small businesses. It also loosens restrictions om loan paybacks But gangrene hands McConnell refuses to even vote on it
And of course the GOP bill includes a provision that protects employers who force their workers back to work without adequate protections from the virus from being held liable (meat packing plants etc.)
1. It's an emergency COVID bill, it has no pork, it solves immediate urgent need of the American people, we agree that it will help. It does not interfere with on-going negotiations Can you please explain, why has Democrats killed it? 2. The House bill has $1,2000 and $600 unemployment (currently at $400 in addition to state's unemployment benefits). The remaining $2 - $2.5 trillion is pork, bailout of failed leftist states and idiotic leftist pet projects that they can't get through the Congress Why should the american people pay an enormous ($2+ trillion) amount of money again? Why do the Dems keep the American people suffering from COVID hostage?
Your glaring inability to explain why the Dems killed the emergency COVID relief bill that had no pork and would provide immediate relief to suffering american families without interrupting negotiations on a more comprehensive bill speaks volumes. Thanks!
There was no pork in the Dem House Bill There was money for average people though...and loans for businesses that are hurting And money for TESTING and TRACING..and for hospitals
The democrats are extortionists. If they don't get a pound of political flesh to feed their vanity, they aren't going to support it. The GOP was far from ideal, but now unemployed workers who most need help are not going to get the extra unemployment because the bill doesn't give Nancy something to cackle about.
And when we go out to the supermarket, or anyplace not discretionary, how do we scaredy-cats avoid you brave, feral, virus-ridden flea bags?
Hell yeah! This freakin' country should go by DeathRace 2000 rules: no speed limits, no traffic signals, no B.S. road signs sayin' I can only drive in one direction on a road, no limitations on where we can fire our weapons-- hell if you're scared of gettin' shot on the freeway, then just don't drive on it, or on any road where you're in my way! And so what if I want to pour my used motor oil in a hole in the ground-- that's where it came from, didn't it? Or if I want to burn my hazardous chemicals in a bonfire on my property, that's my business! If you don't want to get hit by the shrapnel from a propane container I'm curious to see in the flames, then don't live near me! That's on you! Safety rules are moronic. You know how cheap you can get DDT to get rid of any damn weeds? Don't we have any G.D. freedom anymore? Hell, there's even laws now say I can't have a tiger on my prope'ty. Mike Tyson had one. That's reverse discrim'nation. Who'll be a third on this freedom-lovin' proposition, along w/ me & TheImmortal? Or are ya all too chicken?
I'm a supporter of line item veto. The SCOTUS got in the way of a perfectly valid solution to legislative issues. I'll have the SCOTUS note that there isn't a line of text in the constitution that prohibits it.
Apparently, you haven't been paying attention to how McTreason operates. The bill he supported was woefully inadequate for the size of the need. Passage of it would have ensured no further relief bills would reach the floor of the Senate for a vote. The "no pork" claim was just a talking point for PR purposes as if Mitch has never been a hog at the trough. https://thehill.com/homenews/senate...s-reelection-muscle-with-1b-gift-for-kentucky
The one that is $3.6 trillion dollars and filled with poison pills like bailouts for blue states, stimulus money for illegal aliens, and repeal of state voter ID laws?
and yet you guys are ok with bailouts to Texas and Florida when they get hit with hurricanes but they have no laws mandating infrastructure retrofitting/upgrades or moving homes out of the worst floodplane zones.
