We had state senate candidates who were running as democrats who were entirely funded from out of state dark money. Perhaps you should concern yourself with the several democrat billionaires who were so liberally writing checks this year. We had a local candidate who locals started referring to as "tweaky" who received something like 8Xs the money her elected opponent pulled in, and she still lost... Was fund to watch

Did you know who she was? Ever see a picture of her or hear her on media? Did she make an attempt to gain votes?

    Case closed...

The point of this story is not the money, it's the fake candidacies...

Michael Bloomberg sent mailings out to my small town "grading" our voting and threatening to divulge our voting patterns to our neighbors. I even started a thread about it, but none of the usual democratic cheerleaders showed up to comment on how inappropriate Bloombergs shadow pac was, given the threats and all.. But golly... you're concerned about it now.

Golly... do you suppose there's a question on them asking... "have you been diagnosed with dementia"... the trouble we could have been saved...

ROFL, you took the words out of my mouth.

Shenanigans with the presidential election? Impossible! Shenanigans in south Florida? OMG this is going to tear apart Democrats who are too stupid or lazy or ignorant to know anything about their candidates!!!! :angered: :roflol:

List them, and note their dark money sources.

So? It is no different than the libertarians existing just to syphon votes from the GOP. It is no different than the left wing flooding the Lincoln Project with money to attack Trump. Politics is politics.

Evidently you have reading comprehension problems.

Michael Bloomberg sending you a mailing is not the same thing as a bogus fake PAC setting up fake candidates to syphon votes away from Democrats.

You know where those fliers you claim to have been sent came from. Bloomberg signed his name to them.

You’re not used to that because so many of the operators in the right wing noise bubble do not, and go to great lengths to hide who they usually are.

The entire tea party operation was run that way. Nearly every national tea party group was a front group for a DC lobbying firm or right wing political operation.

Just the sort of semi disengaged voter who would fall for a scam like this.

Really? When did the Lincoln Project lie about who they are? When did the Lincoln Project list non existent businesses as expenses for their PAC? When did the Lincoln Project run fake candidates?

If they were on the ballot, they were not fake candidates.

All three of the groups you cite report their donors and expenditures to the FEC.

    They’re not dark money.

Dark money are the Super PAC and 501C4 groups that use those particular types of corporate entities to avoid having to disclose where their money came from.

In the case in the OP, they listed expenditures to a company that does not exist.

If they were Republicans who swiftly changed their party affiliations just before the scam pac they’re fronting for filed for them, and paid nearly $300,000 for imaginary campaign literature to a company that doesn’t exist, they’re fake candidates.

Yeah, it is, as long as there is a face and voice to go with those candidates... How hard is that to understand??

Even I saw a picture of Jo Jorgensen, and heard her speak (once)...

Well, according to the article, there could be evidence of illegal activity, depending on if filing a false application to be on a ballot is illegal.

It's typical GOP sliminess, but you can sleep in that it's not formal fraud... Much like me regarding the rest of the country...

Also, Michigan suit not to certify tossed... One more down the drain...

They expect us to believe the guy who barely left his basement during the campaign, generated less interest than the Wicked Witch of the East (Hillary) and can't carry a cognitive thought got 10 million more votes than Hillary? :roflol:

The fraud will be uncovered and the perpetrators will go to jail.

Funny how this works: Republicans cheat in elections, and then they turn around and say: See, there is fraud, you cannot trust any elections. Same as they purposely mess up government when they are in power, only to turn around to say: See, government is messed up, you can't trust anything it is doing. How people can fall for this kind of sham is beyond me.

Being bad with other people's money is a requirement for politics these days.

There is no requirement that you put your face out there or speak to run for office.
