COVID-19 QUARANTINE CONCENTRATION CAMPS IN CANADA <Rule 2/3> Such quarantine camps have always existed for dangerous epidemics ... and most of them even set up by right wingers like you and not lefties ... because they are an effective protection and are ALWAYS a regular and legal means of protection in every country from a certain epidemic level! <Rule 2/3> A few weeks ago I met just such a guy who was provocatively not wearing a mask and claimed there were no infected people, everything was an invention and Corona is just a harmless flu. <Mod Edit> And exactly those idiots who deliberately do not adhere to the measures, they must first be locked up ... not in a quarantine camp, but in prison: Why? Because that has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with free expression of opinion, but with deliberate endangerment of fellow human beings!
ahh, yet another supporting leftists measures. Feel free to read rule 11 and follow the link provided in the OP as it is there that the words Concentration Camp were used and are in the headlines. I did not author the words, only pasted them You have every right to be offended by words as much as I have every right to be offended by leftist actions
And also the right to spread BS and lies around ... I know. The wording of you in the OP tells all ... because hiding the uncomfortable part of the facts is a common righty measure, as well twisting the issue into a way that black becomes white and reverse too.
hmm you accused me of writing the term "concentration camp" I directed you to the forums rules #11 which states that the headline must be an exact quote from the source you do not acknowledge that your "outrage" and accusations were unfounded. Next, you dance around my point that you support the leftist/statist actions. What is so wrong about admitting that you are a leftist, and feel that the state is more important than individual liberty? Heck, leftists took that position with leper colonies and internment camps. Why would we think the left would be any different with a virus ?
Hmmm ... So you do not share the rating which you quoted tha these planned camps are being called concentration camp now? So why then this BS blabbering of "If this doesn't scare the heck out of you, then nothing should", eh? And about being lefty ... well ... you know, in my country I am rated to be a righty conservative ... but in comparison to the US rating who is left and right, well ... I think must nearly say "Heil Hitler" not to be rated a lefty, isn't it? And why should "lefties" not think that righties like you are a plague? I mean ... you do your best by twisting facts like those about such camps that they exist since ever and are usueal everywhere and so on as I wrote... isn't it?
Nah, you just wear the "liberty for me, and tyranny for those who think differently from me" badge as your posting history shows. ****.
And then you are follower of Trump? Well ... Trump and liberty, I think this tells the truth at best:
It was your choice to use that link, your choice to post it in a news section rather than opinion section, your choice to blindly believe the claims being made in the video without any further research and your choice to focus on petty arguing with your extremist political opposites rather than addressing anything about the actual topic. Again, the video shows a single fraudulent politician spouting unsupported conspiracy theories. A video title or a politicians claims don't make something true (however much you might want it to be); https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/covid-19-internment-camps-disinformation-1.5769592
Joe, let's be honest. Anything that paints your leftist agenda for what it is, tyrannical, you attack the source, despite it being right in the chamber and read directly from an RFP.
I'm not a "leftist" (or a "rightist"), I'm a rationalist. Since your partisan political labelling is intended as a personal insult it's against the forum rules you're so big on quoting. Yet again, I'm not denying what Hillier stated in Canadian parliament but given the extreme nature of his claims, I actually looked further in to it and discovered clear information suggesting that he was grossly misrepresenting the facts (and has a history of doing so). I provided a link to some of that further information for anyone who wanted to further discuss the topic. That apparently doesn't include you, which is disappointing but not surprising.
You intended it a an insult! At least own your partisan political hatred if you're going to make it so obvious in your posts.
So you believe record levels of illness does not dilute resources? Im surprised you would believe that considering wait times and how many Canadians come to the US for medical care for that reason.
now you can jump into my head? I've no hatred for leftists. There was plenty of hate from the left these past years, but that's another day another topic. I actually pity you and other left-wing folks.
What wait time? There's no wait time for life threatening illness. Electives may wait, but you're free to go to a private clinic if you're in a hurry. Oh wait! You think that because we have a public system that we can only use the public system? LOL! We always have the private option available too. My family docvtor is private, and I was born in a private hospital also. But if I get cancer I'll have access to the public system which won't leave me pennyless and the public system can't drop me for "pre-existing" condition. For god sake man, wake up. Every first world nations on earth have a better health system than yours. Heck, you talk about Canadian going to the USA for health care? How passé! India is now the #1 health tourism place on earth not the USA.
I am happy you are satisfied with your system to the point of being smug and unfriendly. That still doesn't refute the fact that record levels of illness dilute resources and that record consumption of government subsidized pharm products do not make society healthier. Results speak for themselves. I do admire your willingness to finally admit that Canadians to have to resort to medical tourism. The destination is irrelevant.
That only reinforces my correct understanding of your position. You are happy with your government and healthcare and think the US should do the same thing. They are already doing it in California and results show that people are sicker than ever. Both sides have shortcomings. I hope you avoid processed foods and maintain a healthy weight. The best health care is avoiding doctors altogether. I have had this discussion with many of my Canadian friends.
And again, healthcare as nothing to do with personnal habits/lifestyle. It's about providing help to those who need it, even if it's the result of their own bad decision. We take care of the obese the same way we take care of the healthy sport dude who twist his ankle while working out. Both pay into the system and both get the care they need. I know you're a libertarian leaning guy, but just like communism, libertanism fails when it's imposed on any modern society. Society being incompatible with the selfishness that comes with libertanism.
Seriously? You already know what the concentration camps were? To call quarantine facilities / camps a concentration camp because of Corona is just disgusting. I am German and my ancestors were in the resistance against Hitler and some were in a concentration camp and 2 of them died in Bergen-Belsen! Are Corona infected people used for forced labor to the point of death, or are they directly gassed en masse like the Jews and others by the Nazis? Was then e.g. Eilis Island was also a concentration camp?
You are incorrect. High rates of illness dilute resources, reduces the quality of care and increase wait times. This is not my opinion; it is already happening. When it comes to selfishness, it just doesn't get any worse than food companies raking in huge profits off of tax dollars and then pharm companies enjoying record profits while people get fatter and sicker. I wish we were discussing twisted ankles, accidental injuries, and unexpected illness. I don't oppose food and health care subsidies. I grew up on welfare back when the government actually gave out cheese. My issue with healthcare is that the current model is making people sicker. Food and drug companies have tons of money and powerful lobbyists. I don't see any politician standing up to them, so I don't expect to see change until the number of people too sick to work reaches a tipping point.
