The first thing an autocratic leader tries to do is to lie to the public constantly with lies that conflict with the established media, & tell everyone the established media can't be trusted. Then tell the public they can't trust politicians of the opposition party. Then tell the public they can't trust their own elected officials, election professionals, or anyone else. Autocratic leaders consistently create distrust of anyone or anything other than themselves. Trump is doing that every day, & has throughout his tenure as President. He trains you to trust only him & then he abuses that trust to enrich himself, or broaden his power. Generally, his victims never realize their true predicament, & they are the fiercest defenders of the autocrat. I see a lot of victims of Trump on this forum. On one hand I am sad, but their ignorance doesn't make them innocent of helping Trump with his destruction of our Democratic Republic. The sad part is that when Trump & his minions finally achieve their goal of disrupting the existing order with your help, you will be there with me & other innocent victims, watching your civil rights fly down the drain along with ours. And Trump the autocrat will gloat from his high perch in the halls of power. What a nightmare.
I have not supported anything you facetiously asked me. The left is driving the largest wedge ever with other actions outside of the election and now you are saying following legal process and laws is causing a divide? Has anything trump has done unconditional with regardless to the election or even illegal? If not quit taking the moral high ground because your about to flood.
And, by contrast, you seem quite empty... these meaningless little one-liner rejoinder posts are a common trait among radical, Internationalist types....
That's where it is now. Even Trump has a black cabinet member and a black surgeon general. He's made important moves to decrease black incarceration and black unemployment while fighting "Russia Russia Russia." What have his critics done that is more significant? Answer: nothing. Zero. We have race batters on cable TV screaming 24/7 about isolated arrests or shootings affecting some random black guy, who may or may not have been targeted because of race, so it sounds like the whole country is burning down in a race war. It's all in [the Left's and the media's] head. Go outside and walk around.
Me? Nah. I'm smarter than anyone you'd ever hope to know and, if by "internationalist" you mean not fixated on race, sure.
As smart as you think yourself, you ought to be able to master the basic tenets of GENETICS easily. It may help you understand how and why we've able to develop everything from more abundant, nutritious food crops to dozens of species of dogs -- all of which came from the wolf. C'mon -- you can do it! With humans it's not even that challenging -- after all there are, at most, five racial subdivisions of mankind: Caucasoid, Negroid, Mongoloid... and, possibly, "American Indian" and "Australian Aborigine".... You may become so enlightened that you'll want to change your academic focus! Do I correctly assume that you're at about the sophomore level in some cozy, other-worldly liberal arts college, majoring in Sociology...?
You are helping an authoritarian steel your personal freedoms. With support from you & Republicans like you, Trump wants to dissolve our Constitutional government & become your dictator. He's been sending in his legal team to the battleground states in the 2020 election, to try & find judges sympathetic to him, willing to disregard the voters ballots, & give the Electoral College votes to him. Failing that, he's now inviting powerful Republican officials to the White House trying to convince them to ignore the election & give him the Electoral votes instead. Under our current laws, any attempt to fraudulently change the result of an election, is a felony. Trump & anyone else involved are literally criminals. He is saying that American democracy isn't important--that your vote & mine are a nuisance. He's saying our democracy is an impediment to his personal quest for power, & shouldn't count. And you still support & defend him? I never thought I'd ever see the day when any Americans would think authoritarian rule was acceptable. I was wrong, but that doesn't mean I'm willing to join them. I know the Constitution isn't perfect, but I'm willing to fix its deficiencies using the established system rather than handing this country & my personal rights over to a demagogue like Trump. Biden is President Elect, & whatever his faults, he's still loyal to the Constitution & will protect my personal freedoms. With that in mind, I will support Biden.
Trump inviting election officials from Michigan to the White House & asking them to find ways to disregard Michigan votes for Biden in the 2020 election, & find ways to change the Electoral College votes to him instead, is a felony--a crime. Trump is trying his best to toss out official ballots supporting Biden, & get the Electoral College votes from Michigan & other battleground states, to vote for him instead. Trump is trying to kill American democracy. For months prior to the 2020 election, he was telling the public that Democrats would use fraud to get Biden elected. The polls were all showing Trump losing, so he had to make everyone believe Democrats were cheating because he's incapable of accepting defeat personally. American democracy was an acceptable casualty in Trump's mind, if it got him back into the White House. It's an old trick to blame others for deficiencies one has within oneself. Trump blamed Democrats of voter fraud while he was openly practicing that felony himself.
The left isn't against Trump or anyone using the legal system to address issues they are concerned about. But Trump's legal team has now filed over 30 separate grievances in court, claiming Democratic voter fraud, but never once submitting evidence to back up those claims. If there actually is voter fraud happening during the election, leftists want to know just as much as you. The truth is, Trump himself is the one & only openly active player in voter fraud we see today. He's doing anything he can to convince election officials in the battleground states to disregard voter ballots that supported Biden, & give him the Electoral College votes instead. That activity is unlawful--a felony. For several months before the election Trump accused Democrats of voter fraud, but it's Trump who's actually participating in it.
There's no race war, but there is a growing sensitivity to the fact that black men are not safe driving or walking or even living in communities patrolled by racists police carrying guns. That's a solvable problem, but it needs officials committed to solving it.
Yes, Trump the President DID promote vaccine development against the virus, but he failed to create any federal command post to coordinate action against the virus while that vaccine was being developed. Even now, when the virus is exploding across the nation, he's playing golf & disengaging as President. Trump has been a dismal failure as a leader & as a human being. Trump shows no concern for the growing death toll from this virus. Plus, Trump is actively trying to dismantle our national voting system because he is incapable of accepting defeat as a candidate. Biden is human, & as such, has faults & failures. But he wants to lead the fight against the virus, & he wants to reunite the American people--both good goals for any leader. Trump has been so self-absorbed & self-serving as President, it will be refreshing to have a President who cares about the nation & its people for a change.
Exactly. . .you've not supported anything I've posted in this thread. That would indicate you disagree with my perspective, which is largely anti-Trump. That would indicate that you support Trump & his insanity. Do I have this wrong?
Black men in predominantly black inner city neighborhoods aren’t safe. They are being killed by other black men in disturbing numbers.
