I have 5 kids that span the political spectrum. The key to loving those with opposing beliefs is not forcing those beliefs on others. Politicians are salespeople that work hard to convince you that your fellow American is your enemy. That way people don't unite and hold them accountable for their irresponsibility.

 

Oh for Heavens sake. Look at what today’s democrats support. The reason Trump gained support from the working class is because the democrat party abandoned them. The democrat party has been taken over by ideology that labels anyone that is not on board with their elitist ideology as rubes. Those rubes are the working class. Same with minorities. Trump almost doubled his black vote from 2016 because democrats always promise but never follow through. Trump increased his Hispanic vote because of his progress on jobs and many come from communist Cuba and see the way the democrat party is headed. You may believe in the old democratic party but that is not today’s Democratic Party.

@dgrichards The above is the exact reason why. The left (and I know that doesn't encompass ALL democrats) will not tolerate any deviation from what THEY believe. So now, people with different views (mostly being want lower taxes, government's hands less in everything, strong military presence and wanting policies that put their country first), are now not people that happen to have different views, they are people that "have hard time adapting to change". There isn't much that most leftists can say anymore without twisting it to be as negative as possible. Now picture this way of thinking and bad attitude on a national level. I'm sorry to say but most of your party is now compromised. I agree with you though..we should all get along, but its never going to happen. The media drives this hate as well as a sense of over entitlement. "I don't like that statue, i'm gonna knock it down". I'm sorry but your party has been compromised and really doesn't have much integrity left, just race baiting, mass brainwashing and other evil tactics.
