I wouldn't be surprised if a 'chicken' joke could be a criminal offense in that hell hole of a country, and I wouldn't be surprised if @Montegriffo fully agreed with it!
We’re smart enough to know that even “free speech” is not absolute and subject to regulation. Anyone that doesn’t get it is in denial.
Heller must be “qualified” and he still has to register the handgun in the municipality of DC to be in compliance with DC regulations in order to keep an operative handgun in the home. It only applies to handguns and qualified individuals. Other DC regulations are unaltered. There is nothing in Heller that prevents a municipality, state or fed from requiring handguns be registered and processed only by qualified persons, in the home or outside.
Every race has faced discrimination. Yes, even today it happens to all races. She may very well have been intimidated. I'm sure if a large crowd assembled outside my door I would feel intimidated also (and it wouldn't have mattered what they were saying). But I wouldn't be crying to government to outlaw their speech. I would instead try and change peoples minds through discussion. Do you really think any form of force is going to change their minds? Stop racial discrimination? No. It's not. In fact it will have the opposite effect. It will give people reasons to continue the hate and pass it on to their children when they point out how "their race" was treated differently just because of their skin color. Oh sure, the "Law is Neutral!" they'll say. "It is applied to everyone regardless of race!" they'll say. But those that are arrested or predisposed to think a certain way will just point towards various selected incidences and use them as reasons to continue the hate. To teach the hate to their children. And the circle continues. That is happening right now here in the US with BLM. They point to individual cases, treat them all the same and say "SEE!! They're not treating us the same! RACISM!" But if you actually look at the numbers it can be seen that no actual discrimination is to be had by police. No matter how much they claim otherwise. But they don't care. They just see rare instances of an unjustified death and use it to claim that the whole system is biased against them. BLM is doing the same thing that white supremacists do. Take individual instances completely out of context to try and espouse their rhetoric. It happens with far more than just BLM also. No, you can't force people to change. You can't stamp out racism with force. All that you'll do is perpetuate it. Make it worse. If you actually want to stamp out racism then you have to teach. Have discussions. Government force will not solve this problem. There was a time in the US when children were taught to be "color blind". We should return to that. Return to teaching people to not judge a person by the color of their skin. Return to teaching people that a persons character is far more important. So yes, I would have told her to suck it up and that I don't care if she was offended. (I wouldn't have used the word "snowflake"). I would have also told her all that I have just told you.
Democrats like Sen. Blumenthal are calling for limiting speakers, outlets, and speech. Democrats fascist tendencies are showing.
Again with ''offended''. This girl was frightened. Intimidated by the actions of the two drunks who were quite rightly prosecuted.
You mean Trump, the fascist Putin wannabe. Don’t have a clue what you’re talking about without a reference.
I have the right to say what I want, so long as it does not harm someone or place them in a condition of clear, present and immediate danger. The fact you feel intimidated by what I say does not create a basis for a restriction on my right to say it.
To be clear, if you are a supervisor, saying the same thing to one under your employment is viewed differently then to a co worker would be. Circumstances have a lot to do with intimidation. Open carry of a firearm or other weapon can affect how any verbal threat you make is viewed.
Yeah, it was some nonsense about how the girl should have reasoned with the racists rather than using the law.
Not just the girl. EVERYONE. Stop thinking that force will solve all the problems in the world. You can ignore me if you wish, it won't change the facts. But the divisions will continue to grow. And you'll be part of the reason for it.
LOL. Show us where Trump is calling for limiting speech like democrats are and like their tech buddies are doing.
Sadly, freedoms which were reasonable in the late XVIIIth century cost hundreds of thousands of lives in this century.
What do you define as "assault weapons"? AR15? They're not prohibited. AK47? They're not prohibited. You can even buy the Ares Shrike 5.56 which came out in 2002, and that's a full blown automatic machine gun.
No one died by a gun in any time frame. They died by humans. Guns cannot do a thing by themselves. It is sad that those people died. But they didn't die because of a gun. They died because of themselves or someone else. Btw, did you know its not illegal to commit suicide? Additionally a person willing to commit suicide will use anything available. So you can't guarantee that someone that died by using a gun wouldn't have died by using some other way. So its meaningless to use such a statistic unless you're wanting to pad the numbers to make it more "shocking" in order to play on peoples emotions.
Suicide is a great sin as bad as murder. Those who enable suicide by providing guns are not blameless.
Whether its a sin or not is up to the individual and their own beliefs. Your belief in it being a sin is irrelevant.
