"Don't fall for the fear-driven narratives," the Minnesota congresswoman tweeted. "We can craft a justice system that prioritizes people’s basic needs like mental health + violence prevention, & allow the city to put public safety first." "(F)ear-driven Narrative"? How ridiculous can they get? Crime is going up, because the police are not allowed to do their jobs. Where is "public safety now"? Cutting the budget will mean less police to handle 911 calls. Who in their right mind commits a violent crime? So, would you have the "mental health" workers handle these crimes also. Do you think the streets will be safe if the police are not enforcing traffic laws? Do you think the community will be safer if they are not enforcing laws against theft? The left-wingers complain about a mentally challenged individual being killed when the produce a weapon. Are the police supposed to send a mental health worker to those calls, and allow them to be killed? After a while, how many mental health worker would be willing to respond to that kind of call? As usual, the left-wingers are all about creating victims, and not about ensuring public safety.
Watch the domino effect here: Crime is up, they cut police funding, self defense shootings go up, then they bitch about vigilantism and want more gun control.
I'm sure Minneapolis will settle back down to its Mary Tyler Moore days soon. Or is that too whiteish for me to hope for?
