Hmm. Maybe you can help me out on a couple issues. Let's us start with a start and end period so we can focus on the in between. Perhaps their is a good answer in one of your history books and I am open to reasonable explanations.

START: Circa 1860. Republican party lead by Lincoln fought to free slaves (it is more complicated but for my questions it doesn't really matter) Lincoln and his army, for the most part, were northerners and the slave owning democrats were southerners.

END: CIRCA 1960ish to 2020. A huge majority majority of Republicans live in the southern states. A huge majority of democrats live in the northern states.

THE INBETWEEN: So if what you say is true I have a couple questions of things that must have taken place during this 100 year gap.

    1. In a 100 year period, when did all the northern Republicans move to the south and visa versa? Admittedly America was still a relatively young nation but this would have had to have been one of the largest cross migration events in recorded history. So why do I never see this in history books. Seems like a pretty signifant event that would be in our history books.

    2. Up to and during the civil war, just like today, southern democrats had the accent or drawl or whatever you want to call it. This came about largely due to northern Englanders populating the south after the revolutionary war. Now one would think if their was this huge cross migration, that northern democrats would have taken their accents with them. Yet to this day the south still has the pre civil war accent. Does your history books explain this? How did the northern democrats who did not have this accent suddenly develop it?

I eagerly await your explanations for these two questions.

Why not? It's all a grift anyway. If you're dumb enough to send money to him you might as well give him your credit card number while you're at it.

I can't imagine you get much support from republicans. It's sounding like you stand mostly alone whether you want to or not. It's hard to get progress on your wants and needs that way.

I’m sorry, but I don’t hear a lot of “deep Suth’un” accents in cities like New York City or Chicago. But to indulge your odd theory and subsequent red herring question, I will submit this wonderful explanation:

Prove it. Trump is all about Trump. If he can find a way to pocket money he will, because we have seen exactly that for 4 years whether it's his golf course in Scotland or his Tag Air "business" which earned $3.7 million for him during his campaign by charging his campaign for the use of his 757.

It's naive to think he will not skim what he can skim from your contributions that you THINK are for his legal expenses.

The Southern Strategy was and is exactly what every rational person on the planet thinks it is, and it is nearly the entire gameplan of the GOP to this day:

"Liberals want to take money away from hardworking white men and give it to inferior minorities and women."

    Rinse, repeat.

Trump LOST. And, after Monday it will be a 1000% Done Deal.
^That is Reality. And, those are FACTS.

And, totally Lmao at "Trump ordering an investigation".:roflol:

    Who is going to investigate?

    Mighty Mouse and Inspector Cousteau?

Or Maybe he could get Maxine Waters to lead it?

If it is so clear, then I'm sure you have hard evidence. You should have shared it with Trump's attorneys who went into court empty-handed.

Once again we see the right accusing the left of the crimes of the right as a dodge and deflection. Having an opinion is not seditious. But the SCOTUS, when they recently WIPED OUT Trumps hopes for overriding legal votes, described the attempt as "seditious". So now you have to find every way you can to reapply that label to anti-Trumpers.

That is exactly my point. If the southern "racist" democrats all moved north after the civil war then why do northerners not have a southern accent? If they didn't move north then why are southern states mostly republican when they were democrats at the time of the civil war?

Quite frankly, you indulged nothing and I stopped reading your article after "...opinion contributor".

And yet they have stood firmly against the needs of Native Americans.

You can play "republican" all you want and be a loner too. I have never seen a Native American leading activist who was standing with republicans against democrats. They are wise enough to take their alliances where they can get them.

That is a good question. Why is my city so liberal blue when Alaska is such a red state? Think about that concept for a bit, why don’t you?

Laughable. Today's libertarians are closer to classical liberals than today's big government liberals.

Well it should have been a quick aside but your fellow travelers just can't seem to let it go! For some reason, it strikes a nerve.

Prove it? No. I pulled the info from a NYT story but I don't care if you believe it or not, nor do I understand why you want to devote even more time to an off topic issue. If you want to start a thread about how Trump and only Trump is pocketing PAC money, go ahead.

You are not seeing my point. Some of it may be my fault and I didn't explain clear enough, but I suspect you are not sure how to react to an arguement or question that isnt part of your memorized list of canned responses...because both your responses did not, in any way, address either of my questions. It was like your responses were copy pasted from a different arguement. Well not everyone is good at thinking outside the box. Have nice afternoon.

So you count yourself among the RW extremists ("Trumpers")? Looks that way. And how do you think they will treat you, a non-white, when you find yourself in the midst of what is probably coming if the electoral college votes for Biden? Good luck.

The Proud Boys were founded by a non-white. Democrats are the ones with the lengthy history of racism. Just look at all of those Confederate Democrat monuments that your Party is trying to tear every last one down. There sure are a lot of them! What’s your point here?

    False.

Not for the past 60 years, when the racists fled to the GOP.

Both parties have a lengthy history of racism. One party decided to repudiate that legacy at the risk of splitting and losing some of its safest areas. Those areas are now deep red, which tells you what the other party chose.

It does. And it is clarified again every single time any legislation that advocates for or protects minorities or women is brought to the floor of congress for a vote.

The Southern Strategy is still the defining strategy of the GOP. It didn't go anywhere.
