Vaccinations: Half of US States prioritizing black and Hispanic residents over white

You would have to ask an expert that question. Would you believe whatever they told you?
Bottomline, for whatever reason minorities have been hit much harder by the virus, could be many factors involved. Now what is the issue with placing the hardest hit groups higher on the list to receive the vaccine?
Do you think it should be first come first served? Or how about those with enough cash go first? Or maybe you want the red states given priority? Should we just let the elderly die, I mean they are old after all?
What is the issue with minorities being higher on the list?

The most obvious reason blacks specifically have been hit harder is because they are “more”
overweight and that is one of the key factors in dying. Overweight people have weaker lungs and heart issues. Logical people would see that as a behavior issue since whites people dont force one race to eat a certain way. But a Leftist sees more racism. Black people are unable to eat healthier because white people OBVIOUSLY prevent them from eating properly. SEE!!!! Racism.

Native Americans have been hit even harder, but for some reason the right doesn't want any of them to get the vaccine, I wonder why?

 

Why in the world is race playing a deciding factor in who gets the vaccine? There could be many different factors on who gets the vaccine based on region, age, health, vulnerability, etc, but race should not be even remotely considered. How would you feel if White people got preferred treatment in hospital emergency rooms?

 

Here in NM the Indians ignored all the safety warnings about the virus, apparently they thought drinking booze all day would make them immune. And who said the right doesn't want any Indians to get the vaccine? Where do you come up with this stuff?

 

I don't think 'race' is a deciding factor.
I think the factors at this point from everything I have read or heard is the groups that are at the highest risk are given priority. Health care workers, elderly, those that are immuno compromised and so on. For whatever reason Native Americans and blacks are being hit the hardest, I'm sure there are many factors as to why thats is and it very well could be genetic, we just don't know.

How do I feel about white people getting preferred treatment? It sucks, it should never be that way but the F'd up healthcare system we have currently actually forces the healthcare system to be unfair.
It sucks, it's wrong on a great many levels and its, in my opinion, one of the biggest problems this country faces. we need to fix our healthcare yesterday.

I've already said that race shouldn't be a factor in where people stand on the list. You can't scream about inequality while giving specific races preferred treatment. And I've already mentioned Tucker Carlson's show where liberals said blacks should get preferred treatment ahead of white people. Why?

Go to the 2 minute mark and see what anti white racism looks like. Once again the left's credo of 'if it saves just one life' fails because the left wants to give the vaccine to healthy blacks ahead of vulnerable elderly white folks.

Personally I have no problem with how the vaccine is being rolled out I don't see the issue here. But this flamebait thread sure seems to be bringing out a certain type of person, that has a real problem with minorities, doesn't it?

How would I do it? I guess I could say White people should go first because we are literally the backbone of this country, but that would set off rioting, looting, arson and assaults. I would give out the vaccines to the areas that are most dense so their economies can open up. How would you do it?

There should be not even the beginning of a doubt that the indigenous population be vaccinated early - they have so many risk factors, poverty, multi-generational housing etc

Some of the reason is of course socioeconomic inequality. Some is that in the USA people of colour are often front line workers and some is a speculation on the relation between skin colour and vitamin D absorption
