My dear, I've lived in non-Western, Third World countries. I'm a member of a Third World migrant family. I guarantee that many millions of people around the world, think that living alone is shamefully wasteful, and very very odd. Even the richest in those nations I lived in, would never live alone. The richer they are the more family they have living with them, in fact.

You missed the point entirely. It's only about MORALS, if you simultaneously claim MORAL high ground via 'compassion for the poor'. Most people have enough self-awareness not to both absorb vast amounts of resources (by living alone) and grandstand about how much they care for the least.

Huh??? The above did not even come close to addressing anything I said.

Care to apologize for your illogic?

I'm disappointed in you now. I have been polite to you and in return you try to goad me into answering. Retract your first sentence and I will address your second.

    Think how I feel.
No, I just tell the truth. It may make you uncomfortable, but that's only because it is not comfortable to learn that one has been a servant of evil.
I have no reason to retract it. It is the truth, just as the second, third, etc. are.

There is no conflict with being SJW and needing to live alone. For some, it's an emotional/spiritual necessity, and your premise utterly false.

There is nothing immoral about living alone. That's crazy talk.

The Internet must be a singularly lonely place for you, then.

Yes, there is much wrong with it. I can't believe this even needs saying.

The lack of insight is disturbing.

So as long as your little First World corner is cool, the rest of the planet can go **** itself? Once again, no big deal if you're not simultaneously claiming to care deeply about the world's downtrodden.

I'll say it again. No, there's nothing wrong with it - if you don't claim to be concerned about the environment and the poor etc. AND if you're wealthy enough to fund your own care later in life or when ill etc.

I wasn't aware that America lacked space for housing. I've only been once but we drove from San Francisco to Yosemite passing a bungalow with a wind turbine once every 15 miles.

And how would NOT building a house in Nevada help with that?

 Have you flown anywhere lately and looked down? There are vast empty areas almost everywhere, and places like Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Malta, Bermuda and the Netherlands prove that lack of space is not the problem. Henry George refuted Thomas Malthus with a single sentence: "The man and the jayhawk both eat chickens; but where there are more jayhawks there are fewer chickens, while where there are more men, there are more chickens." There has never been overpopulation on this planet. There has been under-honesty, under-liberty, under-justice, under-honesty, under-wisdom, under-courage, under-intelligence and under-honesty, but never overpopulation.

Agreed, we are a very long way from overpopulation. There are areas where man needs to consider the nature around him (I know you know that) but in real terms we have plenty of scope for movement.
