Why do folks who protest that they are liberal or progressive always applaud censorship like this?

 

It should have sunk in by now that liberal folk don't like competition. And they are perfectly willing to use government or any kind of force to stifle competition. When folks like this cry on international cable that there are folks who get more attention than they do, it isn't their fault, the won't take responsibility for their own failures, so government must intervene on their behalf to squash the competition that is beating them. This is what our elite believe they are now entitled to for their funding of government....

 

The voices of the illiberal left are the voices getting the megaphones in current society. I am encouraged that there are still some Classical Liberals/Progressives who are sticking true to their values and fighting just as hard against censorship as we on the right who value liberal access to freedoms and liberty. You just have to seek them out because the liberal voices which remain on the left are being squashed just the same.

So while I completely disagree with "solutions" offered by left-wing ideology versus right-wing "solutions" (which make more sense to me), I know that some on the left are still reasoning "truly" liberal people who value the input of all opinions. That gives me some hope that America won't get completely crushed by those in power, but that the useful idiots supporting and applauding totalitarian power can be wakened to the harsh reality of the current situation.

Greenwald has been providing some sobering thoughts about the destruction of our societal fabric since he left The Intercept several months ago. If you didn't know he is a Progressive, you would think he is on "our side".

This is an interesting clarification about who is trying to silence opposing thoughts. Censorship is not partisan; it is aimed at any dissent against The Ruling Class.

 

There is no right to free speech on social media. Its impossible for a private platform to "censor" you.

The above article is written by an extreme anti-capitalist, so I would vehemently disagree with her in a debate about Capitalism v. Socialism/Marxism, but I completely agree with her regarding the current Corporate/Political Establishment's grasp at totalitarian power (and agree with her anti-war sentiments as well).

The guy in the photo is probably a college student. He's interviewing Noam Chomsky in that 2 minute clip. Chomsky is a very popular left-wing liberal analytical philosopher and long-time activist who is still working at U. of Phoenix at 92 years old.

In the video clip, Chomsky is once again telling why free speech is so indispensable and imperative to a liberal society, including and especially allowing speech you don't like or agree with.
