Lamb is about the only meat which isn't horrendous for global warming. You meat eaters need to switch to eating insects.
Oh give it a rest, everyone 'whinges' when they have go into lock down. If nothing else its just a chance for a bit of social bonding over everyone's shared dislike of the whole process. We all still do it though. Same thing for the Northern beaches. They went into lock down and for the most part obeyed it - and it worked, or at least it seems to have. Lets just see who has to go into lock down next, then it will be their turn to complain.
Latest news is that the pigeon might be an 'imposter' . The US Pigeon Racing Association or whatever its called reckons the US tag it was wearing is a fake! Looks like the bird is just another 'wannabe' seeking instant internet fame. Probably looking to built it into a career in reality TV (or politics). Either one he'd pass the intelligence test.
I think I might try a cooked one but the idea of swallowing a wriggling overgrown maggot is revolting. However, prawns are pretty revolting to look at but widely accepted as yum. In terms of meat produced per ton of fodder insects are leaps and bounds ahead of all other meats.
I have read that and have seen people eating grasshoppers and such in Indonesia. Aborigines eat the hind end of particular ants and there are other instances of insect eating. I think you’re right about crustaceans though, if you can eat a prawn or a crayfish, a blowfly shouldn’t be too hard to manage.
There are many many examples of people eating insects. There's a lake in Africa plagued by billions of midges in huge clouds. The resourceful locals catch them in fine nets and grind them down to make patties. Midge burgers.
Seal meat! I think I'll pass my favourite is Tomahawk steak, we usually have for Christmas lunch, I ask the butcher to halve them for me
The FRENCH don't eat insects because snails don't count. (psst mollusk, gastropod - not insect nor arthropod) Frog anyone yum The Cool Off Is Coming Breath deep produce more CO2 You're carbon foot print today may help feed your children tomorrow Moi Viva la resistance
The crispy fat and meat along the bone is a special yummy! You don't miss it? Sure looks well marbled. Not found today in our vacuum packs. I would not refuse it served to me medium - well or well. Red or deep pink lamb meat is a waste of good lamb & effort. I am thinking hard about calling my butcher and placing an order for some when he spots the good stuff Too bad that bone on top is trimmed off at the execution place. I know I will have it on my mind until satiated. 6 thick ones should do. Moi
Eating snails is halfway there. It's only a small step from snails to insects in terms of revolting. Snails are lovely btw. Horse is tasty too.
Imagine: Australia with no Google https://www.yahoo.com/news/google-might-shut-down-search-103339858.html Google could shut down its search engine in Australia, but the government isn't backing down: 'We don't respond to threats.' Google has threatened to shut down its search-engine service in Australia, as lawmakers push the tech giant to pay for the news stories it displays. The company's long-running dispute with the Australian government reached boiling point Thursday, prompting Prime Minister Scott Morrison to intervene. "We don't respond to threats," he told reporters in Brisbane. "Australia makes our rules for things you can do in Australia ... That's done in our parliament. It's done by our government. And that's how things work here in Australia." . . . Better to take on China than Google. Waltz on ! Moi Don't Further ize Australia
I always liked Netscape. would Amazon collapse without Google? ps. Someone cleverer than I said that a business plan shouldn’t depend on unlimited use of “free” stuff.
Chinese President Xi Jinping warns against 'new Cold War' in Davos speech, calls for 'open world economy' “We should build an open world economy … discard discriminatory and exclusionary standards, rules and systems, and take down barriers to trade, investment and technological exchanges," Mr Xi said in a 25-minute speech. “We should advocate fair competition, like competing with each other for excellence in a racing field, not beating each other on a wrestling arena. To engage in cliques, a new Cold War, exclusion, threats and intimidation against others, to warn of decoupling, cutting off supplies, sanctions at every turn … can only drive the world to division and even conflict.“ From the ABC today. Really, Mr Xi?
