there would have been fewer deaths, as they would not of played it down and made mask where anti-Trump

are you saying Trump did a GREAT job at handling the virus?

the right compared Trump's handling to Obama's in the beginning saying it showed what a great job they did, now of course they no longer want to make that comparison

They distrusted a centralized federal government which is why America started off as a confederacy of states.

Missing out on having all the power.

"Made mask where anti-Trump?" Can you rephrase?

Trump, or the government agencies such as the CDC? Trump was certainly in control of his rhetoric, and obviously it was a total disaster, making him look like a TOTAL buffoon and arguably cost him the election. I just don't accept that it killed people.

You mean the right compared Trump's handling to Obama's handling of Ebola?

Do you think trumps rhetoric caused mask usage to become a political item and thus impacting usage? Or changed peoples willingness to social distance or abide by local ordinances? Because I can assure you between the liberal and conservative areas where I have homes people behaved very differently.

If you do think he altered anyone’s perception then it is almost assuredly truth that he inflated the number of deaths.

Do you suppose you might have seen this disparity between the same liberal and conservative areas regardless of what Trump said?

What does not make sense is that Congress hasn't been entirely cleaned out by an active, alert, informed electorate that has the opportunity to do so every two years.

I don’t believe so, trump supporters immediately fell in line with what he said. Look at the bump stock ban, if a Democrat would have done that there would have been mass “gun rights” protests.
trump did it and no one really cares. Conservative values seem very... flexible

What if Trump banned assault weapons? They wouldn't have cared?

The entire House and a third of the Senate could be changed every two years. That would be sufficient

One good cleansing to start with, then let's see.

Most of them would have at that point, he has a slight sway with most of them and a cult like presence for some of the more extreme ones.

Do you think things would have been any different if trump would have said on day 1 that everyone needed to take personal responsibility and wear a mask so we could get through the virus and reopen as quickly as possible?

Yes, and in reply to that post, I asked you, "do you vote for a different person every two years?"

I don't know what you're saying. They would or would not care if Trump banned assault weapons?

Uh, you may want to forget about Trump's position on masks on Day 1 and instead have a think about the 'expert' position on masks on Day 1. Then you can perhaps get back to me with a revised question.

Most of them would have been outraged, a few would have made excuses.

Ok, the day medical professionals recommended their use, do you think more of his base would have worn them and socially distanced had he not been so vocal against them?

Do you have evidence that his base didn't socially distance?

should have been "Trump made mask wearing anti-Trump"

this caused the virus to spread after the Trump lockdown, and yes, people died because of that

    no, I meant H1N1

    "
Joe Biden’s handling of the H1N1 Swine Flu was a complete and total disaster. Even polls on the matter were terrible!

    — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 26, 2020

How do you know that people died because of that?

Trump, or the government agencies such as the CDC?
