That's Ok, Chiner needs American support.. Just as long as there are some that see them for what they are and have done it will be enough.. There are many other countries that have suffered greatly from this and know Chiners and the WHO reluctance to warn the world so the very few Chicom supporters will remain small and contained within the U.S.

~ Is this a bad thing ? None of it did any good. It fails to mention crazy Trump ignored WHO and China when they said a travel ban is unnecessary and China's claim the virus was not transmissible to humans.
It also fails to state Trump put a fast-track on a vaccine that we would not have if it wasn't for his efforts.

What are these endless lockdowns you are talking about? I live in a blue state, and I can do pretty much anything I want, except for going to the movies. I can even go to the bar (although I don't want to).

As to livelihoods of business-owners destroyed: It is not the Dem's fault that you own a restaurant and don't make provisions that makes it safe to visit during a pandemic. People just don't like to eat out and travel, because they are worried. None of this will go away until the virus goes away. Treat the virus first, the economy will recover automatically, once this happens.

uh, your OP is a complete fabrication. We are not now, nor have we been for almost 9 months, in a lockdown. When we were in a lockdown, trump was president. When we were in lockdown, republican run states also locked down. Why do you think making **** up is a substitute for an actual argument?

 

I agree. Obamacare should be strengthened to include free HBO and netflix memberships to treat our mental health problems during covid.

 

Then call it properly. These are not lockdowns, these are occupancy restrictions. And no, these occupancies are mostly remaining idle as people are just plain afraid of going out and about. One of these days I tried to book a restaurant table for a Saturday night two days in advance, usually impossible in my touristic city, and there were openings everywhere. So it's not the capacity, it's the fear. And by the way my wife ended up disagreeing and we didn't go. She was afraid.

One of the restaurants had other guests, but we were the only couple in the other two. It's not because the restaurants only had one table available. You can't force people to eat out.

People just want to complain of imaginary lockdowns (none exist, currently) and whine about capacity restrictions which go mostly idle anyway. So not even the allowed capacity is being booked by patrons. Again, it's not the decrees; it's the virus and the fear it causes in prudent people (fear of real dangers is not cowardice or paranoia; it is prudence).
