<<MOD ALERT>> CONTINUED OFF TOPIC FLAMEBAITING AND PERSONAL ATTACKS WILL RESULT IN THREAD DELETION. Rush Limbaugh, the monumentally influential media icon who transformed talk radio and politics in his decades behind the microphone, helping shape the modern-day Republican Party, died Wednesday at the age of 70 after a battle with lung cancer, his family announced. Limbaugh's wife, Kathryn, made the announcement on his radio show. The radio icon learned he had Stage IV lung cancer in January 2020 and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Trump at the State of the Union address days later. First lady Melania Trump then presented America’s highest civilian honor to Limbaugh in an emotional moment on the heels of his devastating cancer diagnosis. "Rush Limbaugh: Thank you for your decades of tireless devotion to our country," President Trump said during the address. https://www.foxnews.com/media/rush-limbaugh-dead-talk-radio-conservative-icon RIP, Mr. Conservative Giant. We love you and will miss you dearly! I will always fondly remember countless times you've made me chuckle and laugh at the expense of our Liberal friends America will never be the same.
RIP Rush I delivered the Sacramento Bee newspaper as a kid and was a news junkie. I was always tweaked, because I saw the Left wing bias, back in the 1980's in the paper and on the TV and every Blue Moon, they would have a "Conservative" guest. I would always catch whoever it may be. Then one day, my Stepdad (RIP - Great Libertarian) told me I had to hear this guy on the radio. A local talk show host, during my Junior year in High School had came on the scene. His name was Rush Limbaugh. I tuned in and laughed my ass off, and received information that I knew was out there, but the MSM was not sharing. He was hilarious, fresh, informative, and took the Liberals to task for the very first time on a consistent basis. We only had him "just local" for a short time as he blew up. But, he finally delivered the other side of the story and it was a game changer. We all owe you a lot Rush. Thanks for what you have done!
Breathe easier, the enlightened, progressive, tolerant liberal Democrats - Rush's shoes will not be easy to fill.
Rush was QAnon when QAnon wasn't cool. He opened the door for Donald Trump and the Alex Jones' of the World, by Mainstreaming Absurdist Tinfoil Hat Conspiracies. R.I.P. to a Pioneer.
Rush was my best friend and the best weapon we all had in fighting American Liberalism. He’ll be forever remembered as great American.
Personally, never saw or heard more than a random clip of this paranoid nutjob... reading what he was all about was more than enough... Somebody please get that medal back and give it to somebody deserving... Perhaps Officer Goodman??
He was your best friend and you heard about his death on the radio? Why didn't his wife call you directly?
You don’t say? But you’re relying on “reading what he was all about”, from CNN, PMSNBC and the likes? Personally, is what I’ve expected for you and yours.
Notice the hate coming from the left. History isn’t going to remember them well as even after a man is dead they have nothing but hate for him. I’ve noticed, dems rally not around a person, but around a person to hate. While the right often times rallies around a person due to thier ideas.
Sadly, lots of Democrats been praying for Rush’s death for many years now. The celebration on progressive Democratic forums has already began.
RIP Rush Limbaugh. He was a truly horrible, vicious, vindictive, hateful human being who caused great harm in the USA and actually, across the world. But it's not my job to judge him. He's dead now and Ad-shem will take care of the judgement stuff. That being said, the world just got a little lighter today.
I’ve noticed lol. It’s a shame, and they genuinely think they are progressive. it’s what happens when people convince themselves their political opponents are literally hitler.
