https://www.foxnews.com/media/rush-limbaugh-dead-talk-radio-conservative-icon A great light has gone out. The Left may rejoice but it will create a problem most will not want to deal with. This will rally the Conservative like nothing else. It is fate. It is destiny. GOD's Speed Rush!
https://www.breitbart.com/the-media/2021/02/17/talk-radio-legend-rush-limbaugh-dies-of-cancer-at-70/ I don't know much about him to be honest. I do listen to his radio station but only to Rich Zioli. Anyway, thoughts and prayers and I think its pretty cool he won that medal before passing. God Bless!
I always wait at least 48 hours and then I make sure I post any negativity on a thread that is structured for it. If its a RIP thread, I allow posters to congregate and post in peace without feeling the need to defend the deceased. If there is such a things as a right place/ right time, the corollary is that there is also a wrong place/ wrong time. whether on the left or right, If we as posters feel driven to correct 'the record' with regard to the deceased, we can do that later and provide our version of history for balance down the road.
I tune in as often as possible. I'm usually a little late. I tuned in today about 10 after and I was hearing what sounded like a eulogy and in that moment I knew.
There is nothing to "defend". I posted this in "Latest US & World News", not political opinions. I also didn't mention his accomplishments. This is just a thread to alert people to this news and nothing else. Post whatever you want to post. i am not the free speech police Thanks for stopping by
I will stand my rule thanks because this is not all about what you intended in the OP, its about others who drop in.
That is only inevitable. But Rush was beyond that. They will express their hatred and it will only backfire on them. I always prefer the other side to fall on their own sword.
Then don’t go over and read DU. They are grave dancing in the same way the Cave does when a famous Liberal dies. Grave dancing is going to happen. Both sides have people that do it.
When there are desperate times, love usually conquers hate: Sometimes, it gets up close and personal - "Bayonet" time:
“My ongoing attempts to thank everybody in the audience, all of you, for everything. You mean to me, that last call. That Reminds me how much I love all of you, how much I so appreciate everything you've meant to me and my family. You don't have any idea how I know so many people think this program has changed their lives for the better. You have no idea what you all have meant to me and my family. That day is going to come. Folks are I'm not going to be able to do this. I don't know when that is. I want to be able to do it for as long as I want to do it, I want to, but the day will come where I'm not going to be able to. And I want you to understand that even when the day comes. I'd like to be here. I have this sense of needing to constantly show my appreciation for all that you have done and meant. To me, so I hope you all have a great. Christmas, a great new year, and I hope that the things that are in store for all of us in the coming year are certainly better than what we have endured in 2020. I don't know.” – Rush Limbaugh, 23 Dec 2020.
RIP Rush. Wondering why it is necessary for some to make his death a political ....Left/ Right issue. Like him or not......... one would think that some compassion is called for as having lung cancer is decidedly unpleasant.........regardless of ones politics. Does everything have to be "left" or Right.......with plenty of antagonism in between?? Personal, I did not like him or his rhetoric.............but that is neither here nor there now. What matters is that his trials are over .........and he lived his life his way.
Godspeed Rush! The Great Talent God Loaned to us for all these years, has returned to his eternal presence. You will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
RIP. I listened to his show only a handful of times, and even that was 10+ years ago. You had to take his comments with a fist-size grain of salt, but obviously he has a big audience who enjoyed his show. I think Rupert Murdoch got the idea for FOX News from Limbaugh. It sells.
I used to listen to Rush Limbaugh on the radio just because he was there. I remember he had a TV show but I don't remember him having guests on his show.

When Bill Clinton was President, Rush had a slogan "America held hostage" and then counted off the days to the next election day in 1996. Take your time for figure it out.
LOL!!! Okay, you run with that. The man was a lying, despicable POS who warped the minds of millions of Americans; a man who sold hate and made a fortune doing it. And in case you didn't notice, the right wing is dead. It is just a sewer now.
