Donor supported NPR.... read George Soros, Bill Gates and countless unions with cash to spend. Would love to hear a fair and balanced version of it.
absolutely ... would you like to go into fact checking vs MSNBC and Fox? ... do you even listen to NPR and where they pull their news from? ...
Not based on your post containing Asian, woman, and white. I listen to NPR quite a bit. I never have a feeling of guilt of slavery or feminism. I don't even recall stories on such a thing.
Ask and ye shall receive. A small fleet of spacecraft from the United Arab Emirates, China, and the United States will reach Mars this month after launching from Earth last year. The march to the Red Planet marks a marathon of firsts: it’s the UAE’s first foray into deep space, China’s first independent attempt to land on Mars, and NASA’s first shot at deploying a Martian helicopter. https://www.theverge.com/2021/2/5/22266752/uae-china-nasa-mars-missions
Did you know NPR favors reparations for slavery which is likely to put the US dollar into a final tailspin? Enjoy your socialism people.
No I don't know that. Do you have a statement from them? Between trump and biden, we will likely give Americans $5T free $$$$. How will the US$ go into a tailspin from reparations if the other free money doesn't? I enjoy living.
The real thing. This landing is just part of a far greater mission. Perc will retrieve rock samples with a core drill and than deposit them in the crater. 2026 or 2028 the next mission will start. Retrieval of those samples. Land on Mars, get the buggy out, pick up the samples, load them up and than shoot them into a orbit around Mars, were a space ship is waiting, load them up and than bring them back to earth. Its a NASA/ESA project, which could not be more challenging. We never landed a return vehicle on a planet. On the Moon, but never on a planet, 11 light minutes away. Very daring the whole thing.
Yet.......( landed a return vehicle on another planet ) but the future looks promising and yes...this is a multifaceted mission..... with a potential humongous leap forward in knowledge gaining. Amazing photos coming in now. Makes one feel like one is there.
You think the vice president should fire some white people and replace them with blacks and Indians? Don't worry, Indians are taking over the US high tech, so NASA is just a matter of time. What did Trump call it? Oh, yea: "MERIT BASED".
I enjoy living too but I don't enjoy being brow-beaten by NPR because of my race (white, non-slave owner).
So, you have no statement from NPR about slavery reparations? Why did you make that up? And with so many choices of information, you don't need to listen to NPR. But they are the most informative that I've listened to. And not biased.
What we'll find when man lands on Mars will remain to be seen. We really don't know yet what we'll encounter like in the movies what we could encounter there. It may be eerie at first like in the Outer Limits and Mars is sort of like the Outer Limits wouldn't you think? We'll know eventually what man will discover then he gets there. It will be one adventure I tell you. What science books and books of astronomy tell us. They may be right and they may be wrong. It remains to be seen.
NASA shares first video, new images from Mars Perseverance rover - CNN During its harrowing descent to the surface of Mars last Thursday, NASA's Perseverance rover captured video that the agency is calling "How to Land on Mars." The video, along with other newly released footage, gives earthlings back home a better sense of the sights and sounds on the red planet. I saw on line some of the video that was displayed. It was fantastic.
NASA on Monday released the first high-quality video of a spacecraft landing on Mars, a three-minute trailer showing the enormous orange and white parachute hurtling open and the red dust kicking up as rocket engines lowered the rover to the surface. The footage was so good _ and the images so breathtaking _ that members of the rover team said they felt like they were riding along. “It gives me goose bumps every time I see it, just amazing,” said Dave Gruel, head of the entry and descent camera team.
Thrilling !! Reminds one of Neil Armstrong's' words as they came close to the moon. " picking up a little dust now" Watching this kind of event....makes one think that ANYTHING is really possible......probable .
