As William Deming might say, "Pay by piecework and the number of pieces will increase greatly, and some might even work right......"
If American unions always betrayed the working class as you falsely claim, ALEC, Chamber of Commerce, and the National Right-To-Work-For-Less Committee would be bankrolling unions.
What does the fat, lazy, good-for-nothing corporate welfare queen and grifter, Plutocratic Socialist Donnie, know about jobs and working?? Nothing. A hard days work according to right-wing elitists.............
Inane. Trump's working 24/7 for over 50 years in the extremely strenuous and hard commercial real estate business is light years beyond Lunch Bucket Joe's couple of years as a fresh out of law school lawyer before he got on the public dole for his next 50 years.
No it's not it should be for ALL workers and we should not have an entire government department that represents one party, person(s) not political, over another party and especially only a small not even 10% of the former. And who cares about the wealth of the upper class who save and invest and those at the middle and bottom who don't? What business is that of the government, the last thing I ever did in my working life was to depend on the government to build me wealth and not one wealthy person ever prevented me from doing so.
Apparently enough to do more for the working class especially the lowest working classes than any other President in modern history perhaps even in history of the country.
I think that's a little different from your assertion that coming in late and leaving early is wage theft.
Back to reality: NY Times: Trump got $413M from his dad, much from tax dodges https://apnews.com/article/0452d29cd2564eaf97605ab90acc3a67 So what it is: If Corporate Welfare Queen Donnie is such a brilliant, hard-working individual, why does he have to claim bankruptcy so often and paid little or no federal income taxes, other than to Communist China, the past ten years or so? Donald Trump, the welfare king https://www.washingtonpost.com/opin...4310f4-2121-11e6-aa84-42391ba52c91_story.html
The corporate welfare state is nothing without government. In fact, the bigger the better. Corporations are government-created entities, who derive all their rights and benefits from the government. When a government depended corporate welfare queen speaks of small government, that would only apply to the poor and the middle class, not to them.
What part of trickle-down economics is confusing? Right-wing socialists support government policies and laws that redistribute wealth towards the rich. The right-wing fairy tale: Even stupid idiots understand that demand creates jobs, not redistributing wealth to deadbeat corporate welfare queens.
Not on this planet. Plutocratic Socialist Donnie is the working person's nightmare, and in the long-run, to the business community as well.
Truck drivers, construction workers, agriculture and fishing. There are quite a few more, if you actually think about it. All manufacturing can be organized for performance bonuses, which can be effective, but our manufacturing base is crap right now. Service industries are not conducive to piecework, however. We've known about the shift to a service economy for some time. We certainly haven't gone kicking and screaming; we've welcomed it. As long as we like to shop at Walmart and Home Depot, we're going to need people to work there. Hourly wages are the only option for a huge part of our economy.
Yes, it is. You can sue the plumber in small claims court, and get the bill corrected. If your employee is on the clock but sleeping in the back of the warehouse, you can fire him, but if you refuse to pay him for that time, and the government will help him collect. Quite a difference legally, but without question taking money for something you never delivered, and dishonest. I guess it depends on how much you authorize yourself to treat others in a way that would be offensive if they treated you the same way. Lots of employees have a wide double standard in this area.
Which planet are you on, we had record low unemployment, rising incomes with the lowest earners seeing the biggest gains and the LFPR was improving and there was a glut of good paying jobs.
Manufacturing is booming here. I was with one of the VP's of the national industrial supplier I retired from last August and he said they expect to have their best year ever. My biggest customer just announced a new $750M arc furnance to make slabs of steel here instead of importing them from Brazil that's going to be 1000 jobs. I post from what would have been a HUGE auto manufacturing customer of mine creating 4000 jobs and my part of the plant trying to recruit people starting at $24 - $35 an hour. Thank you President Trump these companies have the capital to do these expansions and bring jobs here. There problem like the existing plants is getting people to come in apply for the new jobs. I worked commissioned industrial sale for 45 years. I was paid on performance, the revenue I generated for the company selling our products. The pest control guy I use, a national company, gets a commission on my what he does and what I pay. Most people do not want to work on commission they don't want to take the risk or be prepared to budget for the occasions when things were slow that month. I always said it's better to be on the revenue generating side instead of the expense side.
Well you can start with there is no such thing as trickle-down economics. There is supply-side economics and it works when our economic policies are gear more to that side than demand side. How exactly has your wealth been transferred to wealth people by some government action? And a hint, inferring other posters are stupid idiots around here first does not refute anything or prove your point, second it will get your post deleted and third get you on my ignore list.
According to him any time at work spent not working is wage theft, so no breaks, going to the bathroom, etc.
He hasn't said that at all but during time when you are supposed to be working shouldn't you be working whatever is that job?
Nope, a little break now and then does wonders for refreshing body and spirit. And as for coming in late or leaving early **** HAPPENS, a persons work is not their life.
