I was thinking the same thing. I cannot wait for the moronic response.

It has nothing to do with black people. It is about the democrats' need to get foreigners and dead people to vote.

I have not read a single post from any libocrat poster that is not some lame talking point or platitude. The same worn out crapola. Voter suppression! Racist! They could never even at gun point explain how or why.

Like it all came out of brain stem university. It's worse than Jim Crow it is like Jim Eagle says the idiot with the mask dangling from his ear.

These are the people who want foreigners to decide our elections and would deny your right to vote or speak or worship in a New York minute if it helped the great slave party. But do not dare call them a libo or a democrat they will deny that. They claim to be sensible independents. :wall:

Another persistent lie folks. Shorter voting hours. Georgia's voting hours remained unchanged with this law. they remain at 7AM to 7 PM. Hey it is just a lie no biggie. Idiot Joe said 5PM. Just made it up.

Uhm... everything? The governor issued an order, and the Republicans complied.

    Gimmi a break?

I'll give a compromise suggestion: We can have a national holiday for voting, and drop the mandate aspect of it. Politicians should earn their voters vote, not be given it automatically. Voting mandates disincentivize the voter and give all of the power to the politician(why else would they clamor for it.)

No. He’s asserting, blacks are different from whites. Have less stamina, perhaps, or patience? Them evil Republicans are going to torture black people with waterboarding-less water.

I don't know any official, elected or not, who has suggested that the Georgia assault on democracy affects only "blacks".

According to the DEMS it is about SUFFERING. The poll workers make water available, you can bring a snack you can even order a pizza be delivered to you. Free stuff cannot be given to voters at a polling place this is NOT something new you know and certainly not Jim Crowe. As I said even a political group can set up food and water 150' away from the line and black voters should elect better election officials. And the long lines were at early voting cites not the last day of voting, you don't have vote that first day of voting. They were simply unprepared for that many for some reason choosing to do it the first day.

An 'assault' on democracy to the democrats these days is a non-automatic check mark next to a democrat politician's name.

If you go through posts by PF Democrats in this very thread, you’ll find they suggest exactly that.

    And?

Those on PF aren't making laws.

And, they aren't defending them beforethe Supreme Court, were GOP lawyers have stated taht these new laws assaulting democracy DO affect specific demographics - including those in poverty, hourly wage earners earning low wages, those of color, etc.

==> Why do YOU think these laws were created???

The Dems have been flat out lying about the law and it's changes and how the same law exist in every other state as far as I know. You can't walk around voting lines handing out free stuff.

There is NO REASONL for anyone to have to go to a polling place to vote.

    None.

Polling places are used by those in power to dissuade those they hate from voting and otherwise reducing democracy in America.

At this point, that IS what they are there to do.

    LOL.

Nobody goes to a polling place to vote in WA.

Nobody goes to a polling place to vote in CO.

Nobody goes to apolling place to vote in OR.

Nobody goes to a polling place in Utah.

Nobody goes to a polling place in Hawaii.

And, other states, such as California, have a large percet of all voting done by mail.

Yet, YOU think your state needs to use polling places for controlling who has an easier time of voting and who has a harder time of voting.

THAT is a direct assault on democracy.

Well, for starters we don't hear these cries by Republicans, only by Democrats. If it were a true assault on our "right to vote"(which it isn't), you'd think it'd be bipartisan. But it's not. Which makes it very clearly naked extortion, for democratic politicians to be elected into public office.

That is the only reason there is this push. They want us to slavishly and obediently go to the lever, pull for a democrat and then they will be elected with the incumbents even more entrenched than they are already.

No one gets fed or clothed by the "power of the vote", except the politician themselves.

CNN played a tape of a black minstrel from the 1940s to accelerate their "Jim Crow" narrative of Georgia's new edict. Strangely, it looked a lot like the Virginia governor. Anybody notice?

    Are you freaking SERIOUS?

There has been NO finding of evidence in fafor of the absject lies the right wing has spewed to cover for its assault on democracy.

And, you can not point to ONE law ANYWHERE that was written in the last year that targeted any voter group.

The more I read that first sentence the more I wonder what the HECK you are talking about.

YES. When Republicans assault democracy, Democrats are not going to just ignore that.

    The QUESTION is:

==> Why are Republicans allowig the GOP to assault democracy?

Who benefits other than democrats? Not Republicans, they don't gain a bone either way and it's not a part of their social conservatism. That means by default, the only ones who benefit is Democrats. Is there a clamoring for these moves? No, not really.

    https://www.pewresearch.org/politic...id-19-top-the-publics-policy-agenda-for-2021/

"improving the political system" is fourth, at 62% and when you have a low number like 62%, I bet if broken down further would ultimately be Democratic voters. Let me transliterate improving the political system:

"Not allowing anyone like Donald Trump to ever win again." is probably the thought behind it.

It's naked extortion, no one should be confused by it and no one's democratic right to vote is under attack.
