This is one of the best articles I've read on CNN (and that's a short list). Since I couldn't copy the entire thing I just plugged in the topics, each of which is expanded on within so check it out.

COVID never left, we just acted like it did. Because we were not vigilant, because many of us refused to do our part, we are now headed into a resurgence at full speed. The blame goes all around. From the Biden administration using the CDC's ludicrous mask guidance change as a political distraction for mounting failures, to certain Republican governors belligerently empowering the spread with their every action, to citizens who wont get vaccinated and wont wear masks. What will happen over the next half of this year will be costly in both lives and dollars and we are all to blame. I hope the deniers and the people who blindly followed the great tool Fauci will be happy with whats coming.

Then from a purely political standpoint shouldn't you do everything you can to prevent the spread of infection if only to cap their potential power?

 

It took just one person in a chinese lab to infect the world. Vaccinated people are still getting the virus.

As long as one person on the planet has the virus it will never go away until we become immune.

This is Darwinian natural selection at work. The Trump supporters won’t vaccinate and 2% of them will die. Red states that don’t vaccinate will suffer more economically than those that vaccinate. This will translate into votes.

It’s unfortunate that Dirty Donnie and his gang of crooks and liars did nothing about this pandemic.
This is all on him and the righties. 600,000+ dead, all their responsibility. My advice to the right is to stand up for your freedoms, don’t wear masks, don’t social distance, and don’t get vaccinated.

Trump banned travel to start, then worked with state's governors to slow the spread, worked with states governors to get the medical supplies needed, got two ships sent to areas where extra hospital bed were thought to be needed (and weren't), worked with Fauci and other supposed experts for guidance, removed red tape for the vaccine developers, etc. so how can you say he did nothing? What do you think he should have done?

 

He should have been a leader on masks and social distancing. Instead he mocked the very idea and flaunted how he wouldn’t listen. That would have been a good start.

Too little, too late. You forget how he failed to lead by example, I.e. masks, social distancing, hosted a Superspreader event, trashed Fauci when he told the truth, recommended bleach and hydroxychloroquine as cures and spoke out at every turn that the pandemic would “magically” go away.

The response you’ll get is Trump should have listened to the experts. At the time the experts said the China virus wasn’t transmittable human to human and travel bans weren’t necessary. The political experts known as pelosi and de blasio told people to visit Chinatown and ride New York’s subways. And still other experts crammed the elderly into nursing homes where they died.

The left will never blame China because that country controls their thoughts.

Fauci has changed his reccomendations too many times. He went from it's silly for everyone to wear masks to wear 2 or 3.
