This is why he appeals to conservatives. Many people of the conservative persuasion are underachievers. Try try have it n tee minds tat they are secret geniuses, and the people with real credentials are the dummies. This is why they can’t stand when people smarter than they are tell them what to do (e.g., vaccines). It messes with the alternate reality they have created for themselves.

People are more likely to defer to the expertise of others when they have been on the receiving end of deference (i.e., people with credentials (i.e., not conservatives)).

I saw this live while watching the marathon, and assumed what some people are still saying, that it was unintentional....

Watching it again, it's clearly intentional.... he's a profession marathoner, who's picked up a water bottle or 2 before...
