So my wife and I are big concert goers. Love classic rockers. Went to 12+ concerts in 2019. None in 2020 as the covid year cancelled it all out. so this year is starting to get back on the right track. Got tix to REO in Fort Wayne end of July. Brit Floyd in Detroit in August.. looking at Alicia Cooper at DTE, ok pine knob. also got 4 tix to Elton at Comerica Park in July 2022. Also have tix to the Elton at Little Caesars in Feb 2022, this was a make up date from the 2020 postponed tour. Still waiting for a make up date for the Stones at Ford Field also a Covid postponement. Cant wait to get back to some rock and roll. You?
Caught REO last night in Fort Wayne. Good show. The old buys still rock. Saw Chicage at Pine Knob last week. Better show, super high energy all evening. Sounded great. Brit Floyd on aug 11 in Detroit. Four seasons sept 11, Detroit Stones Nov 15 Detroit Good to be able to see some live concerts again.
Brit Floyd looks like it would be a good show based on their youtubes I have seen but the date they are nearby, I have a wedding to go to. I've looked around to see what was coming near me and nothing has caught my fancy as of yet. Country acts mostly.....and Michael Buble
Just scored REO tickets again. Stranahan Theater. Oct 15. Didn’t need to but the SIL is flying in to town and wanted to see them so for some cheap, $50.00 tickets yeah I’m down with that.
If you paid for your Elton tickets nearly what they are going for for next year's show in this area, yes stick with cheap seats to everything else. Obstructed view are a bargain at $180 and middle of the pack floor seats are going for $1200 last time I looked. I will keep an eye out in case prices fall to reality closer to the show. Anyway, I've seen REO before. Not a lot of frills with them but they had quality sound and performances.
I paid face value for both sets of Elton tickets as I went right to the venues and purchased them at the ticket offices
Saw The Dark Side of the Moon, an Ohio based Pink Floyd tribute type band. Great show, really enjoyed them. The outdoor setting for Wildwood in Orion Twp, Mi is really nice. Small and intimate. Startship last night at Arts, Beats and Eats in Royal Oak, Mi as always they put on a good shows have a book of great material starting with the Jefferson Airplane stuff from the 60’s. Who dosent like White Rabbit? Was a short show about 1 1/2 hours, but we always enjoy Starship
Just got back from seeing The Eagles at LCA, Detroit. What a absolutely wonderful concert it was. Third time seeing them in the last four years. Had tix to see Elton at LCA last month but couldn’t make it so sold the tix. Will see him in July at Comerica park.
@Big Richard My wife and I have seen fantastic shows by The Doobie Brothers, The Eagles, Don Henley, and Fleetwood Mac. It's a shame that Glenn Frey died. It seems weird to me to think of the Eagles without him. But I'm sure it was a great concert.
