I have the perfect solution to term limits.
1.Stop the public from voting for president. Consider the public does not select many in Government. We do not select any of the justices of the Supreme Court. We have the EC. let them pick the president.
2. Term limits sound wonderful until you learn what you lose.
a. The expertise of those who limit out, their contacts in the Capitol.
b. New congress critters need several years to master the system.
c. Money to elect them will be controlled by Congress as it so desires, not you or me.

Our soldiers should never be sent anywhere unless it's to win. And that can be ugly because fighting to win is ugly. What's truly ugly...is putting our soldiers in prison for trying to stay alive and shooting too quick against an enemy that uses women and children as weapons.

I remember years ago when the first Bush sent our soldiers into a country on a humanitarian mission. That isn't what our soldiers are for.

 

England got itself into WWII after the joint declaration of war against Poland by Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia, it technically didn't need to fulfil the guarantee it gave to the Polish State(which it didn't actually.) England wasn't so much isolationist, as much as it was indecisive about whether or not to confront Germany or whether to focus on its own interests.

Biden didn't flee, he just decided that there are better places to put our money than Afghanistan. Yeah, the Taliban suck. So do a lot of people with guns in Africa. Thats life.

 

I think we're all in agreement that the Taliban is the bad guys... its just that we can't afford to fight all the bad guys all the time. I won't pretend like our exit was conducted properly, but it was well past time to leave.

Yes, we have a President Biden who was following the peace plan signed between then President Trump and the Taliban. Note that the previous Afghan government was not included in the talks nor in the peace plan. The Taliban taking back their country was a forgone conclusion.

 

This is false. The deal called for the Taliban to begin talks with the Afghan government. I guess now we know that means executing the Afghan forces and government members.
