Biden doesn't get a pass when he screws up, but so far he is a helluva lot more sane and competent than Trump. Why do you give Trump a free pass on everything? Why does Trumpism entail absolute loyalty and devotion to Trump rather than to principles? I can propose an easy answer -- Trump himself has no principles and simply says or does whatever is convenient for him at the moment, which leaves you nothing but the man himself to cling to. The man and his empty boasts and grandiose claims and promises. A quintessential flim-flam man, con artist and narcissist.

And what do you counter with here? Nonsense about "the left," about what that nebulous, villainous "they" are trying to do to poor you. You're allowing a partisan & media propaganda machine to control your thinking if you actually believe any of that. It is all absurd and seems to be a barrier you're throwing up to avoid facing reality. The reality is that the former Republican party is a party of lies and cult of personality now. It's not a party at all, in fact, but a conspiracy to power relying on deception and gradiose lies directed at Democrats. They can't run on facts because the facts simply are not on their side, hence the absurdities about the border and the pandemic response. It's an escape from reality, nothing more.
