It appears that so-called muslim-style "honor" killings are not unique to the Muslim World. A similar killing has taken place in the US. 19-year-old Eduardo Arevalo, of Texas, strangled his 23-year-old sister to death, saying his unwed pregnant sister was an "embarrassment to their family". He tried to make the death look like a suicide. Viridiana Arevalo had been reported missing by her boyfriend in The Colony, Texas. This happened two days before Christmas, in 2019. I personally am a pro-lifer, so I'm against doing anything to shame women that could have the effect of pushing them into abortion. (And likewise I'm also against treating transgenders who have had their genitals changed any differently, because that could possibly contribute towards pushing some of them to undergo genital altering surgery. Just pointing out that parallel here)
