Ahhh so now the spin and goalpost relocation starts... Then again you didn't take the time to view the link, I know you didn't because the there was literally hours of information regarding your claim mistaken information concerning the amount of fossil few.. As with the opening line of the linked. "Since 1st grade, we have all been told sold that oil is 1) a finite resource and 2) comes from fossils of dinosaurs and the like that have been underground, under pressure, heated up, for millions of years." I too was told this same bullshit in grade school and here I am MUCH older filling my automobiles with the same product that should have been used up 25 years ago reading the same FIFTY YEAR thing from another generation of true believers.. I guess bullshit is the one true product with a INFINITE supply
Refined and distilled, why speak of what you don't know, or are you trying to look, never mind we all know you by now BTW, we are already burning CORN in our cars
First, exploration does not go on forever. Companies search for supply and secure it, in the amounts necessary to ensure a 50 year supply. Money is not infinite. If you have secured 50 years of supply, why continue to search? When they drop below 50 years in reserves, they hunt for more, and they keep finding more. We have been told that we were about to run out of oil since the late 70's, nearly a half century ago. We'll continue to innovate, the Nat Gas revolution showed up without warning, and it's a very versatile transportation fuel. California and the American Southwest is consistently water starved, all of it is geographically near Canada with nearly limitless supplies of water and ice and just south of the Snake and Columbia rivers, two of the largest conveyors of water in the country. Big Big water projects to bring that water south to the thirsty states, provides an abundance of water for cities, agriculture, as well as hydroelectric, and these states will be swamped in an abundance of reliable inexpensive electricity. Our Grandparents did big big things, Hoover Dam, Continental Railroad, Ports and so forth, we need to return to our roots of Big Big solid solutions. Lots of small safe nukes, like those we use for military applications, built and used in the communities that need them, would be a big improvement. And, we need big upgrades to our electrical infrastructure. Right now it's not capable of carrying the additional capacity we need to move more of our energy needs to electricity, and, its shockingly vulnerable to sabotage. We have a lot of work to do, and it's time we got to it.
Does the left even even get real news? I guess the DNC and the MSNBCNN don't want them to know anything but sunshine and lollipops.. How sweet You know, oh wait you DON'T! The same moronic thing Mr. Obatard did and the very same thing that Lil Joebama is is doing and guess what, the same reason fuel prices are skyrocketing... The only constant within the DNC is memory loss and history and that same affliction is trickled down the line..
Demented Joe, as his first act, attacked our energy supply system that Trump left him golden shape. Now that he has damaged it, we are buried in shortages and inflation, he is running away from his own actions like an arsonist who tries to claim that the building he doused in gasoline and lit on fire was about to burn anyway. BIDENFLATION: House Democrats and rising energy prices. They have always bragged about want to raise energy prices and they have.
Pretty easy when the others don't follow real news huh I notice with the new and improved Bidenites debates are almost child like now But hey, every country really thinks we are cool now
Either you can't or don't want to answer the question that I asked. Instead, you make unrelated comments and throw accusations of lack of knowledge. No surprise there. We know you, too, by now.
Distillation has nothing to do with the energy cost of extracting oil. You knew that, and that's exactly why one can't have a reasonable discussion with you.
Is alcohol a additive in our fuels today? Is Alcohol distilled? Can our combustion engines be altered to run alcohol? Can our combustion engines be modified to burn Natural gas? How much natural gas is readily available in the U.S.? And can Ng be produced by Horse/pig/chicken and bullshit? Can true believers process the theory of COMBUSTION You really need to think outside the box.. Linear thinking leaves much room for error
The left has been taught to think in a linear process, they don't take into fact that fossil will be replaced by renewables and that some of them will still include combustion.. They would rather force change that is not ready, far more expensive and less reliable when allowing the natural order of humanity to mature, invent alternatives and naturally phase out one source in favor of another affordable source! I think the problem we see today is people in conflict with their own mortality and WANT so much to see what he future will bring that they throw all logic to the wind, when what we all should be doing is letting nature take it's course and allow the generations we leave behind to make the discoveries and changes... All us old ass dreamer are doing is making things more expensive for those that will undoubtable be smarter and more capable then we were...
The left isn't about problem solving or reality. Its about forcing others to do as they say. Every one of them is a pocket dictator waiting to be unleashed.
You think you are the only one thinking of using cow manure to produce biogas? Think again. There are many scientists who try to streamline this problem to prevent CH4 emissions, which is a much more potent greenhouse gas than CO2. Now, back to the question: If oil is produced by abiotic generation, why is extraction of oil becoming more and more expensive? If oil was constantly regenerated abiotically, shouldn't its cost of extraction stay the same? Or, could it be that the rate of abiotic production (if we assumed it even worked that way) is much less than the rate of extraction by humans? Are you now ready to answer those questions, or are you going to deflect with more unrelated nonsense? I won't hold my breath.
OH FFS Time for the leftist run away train posts.. No time I have to leather up and warm my bike up, please use @US Conservative from here out thanks...
Rather than engaging with reasonable discussion when challenged, you run. At least we now know that you bringing up the abiotic oil hypothesis was just flinging mud at the wall to see what sticks.
Hey, I'm just avoiding a long derailment of ridiculous leftist nonsense starting with LMFAO Oh by the way, not mud, it's POO! Again you got it wrong even in your own post
Their favorite is to pretend there is no crisis which means they don't have to do anything about it. As that is failing they seem to be equivocating between two other strategies: i) Americans are selfish for wanting goods on their shelves, and, ii) The shelves are empty because of the bang up job Biden is doing on the economy!
We had plans on getting on own oil here in the US but when Biden was elected, he put an end to all of that by stopping all new gas and oil exploring permits. And now the dems say higher oil prices can't possibly be Biden's fault? LOL ok dems
It was a night and change. Under Trump we had energy independence and were the world's top energy exporter. Biden halts our leases in Anwar, stops the production of our own pipelines, allows Russia to build its own pipeline into Europe, and when prices predictably rise as supply drops, he asks OPEC in increase production to drop prices, and they tell Biden to pound sand. And Biden supporters blame Trump. Can't make this up.
You summarized that well. I truly think Dems know better but they are grasping at straws because they don't want to admit the mistake of the Biden disaster.
