I must have gone to school in a different district. I learned that our leaders, while human, generally were moral and honest. You know, like Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln. There were exceptions, to be sure, like the Tamany Hall crowd. But just because we disagreed didn't make them WRONG. The first election I can remember was JFK. My family was solid Republican but when JFK won, we all fell in to support our new President.

 

There is nothing wrong with supporting the president even if you did not support him during the election process and did so after the election. One of the beautiful things about our country is that you have the freedom of choice.
