Thing is, there's oodles of proof out there he was a bonafide racist against just about anyone who wasn't black - in fact, if his defense attorney tries to argue MathBoi WASN'T a racist, he'll get laughed off the planet. You combine that with him slamming into a parade of people like this, and, well ...

Here's the problem: Unless his lawyer can argue that Darrell is legally blind, there's no way he couldn't see that these were white people. It's sorta the same argument that people use when they say blacks get pulled over by the police more often than whites because the popo can see their race thru the rear windshield, something that is a bit difficult to successfully pull off. So adding a hate crime rider onto his sentence is a distinct possibility and there is some precedent for it.

I mean, even without the hate crime addition, he's gonna be in the Grey Bar Motel for awhile - unless as @Pollycy mused, BLM or somesuch bails him out and hides him indefinitely. Maybe he could hide out in the same embassy Assange stayed in for a spell?

Unwinding your double negative I get:

Is anybody affirming it WAS a crash?

    The answer is "yes."

The RACE of the Perp and the Victims is Irrelevant.

The guy will rot in prison for the rest of his life .

People debating "semantics" on a random internet forum does NOTHING to change his fate.

As I have been informed by the Google Pros, this town is 88% white... odds are pretty good he'd be hitting mostly/all white people.

What I haven't seen is an explanation of why and how he ended up in the parade, which I'd need before I start tossing around terms like hate crime...

Hey, it's no skin off my (white) nose if this degenerate is charged with a hate crime, but I'd hate (pun intended) to see a well intentioned statute overused for every crime without some clear intent... and a few FB posts from 17 months ago strike me as a reach..

It's obviously very relevant to some, if they want to get hate crime charges going... If the law can make that connection, I'll lose exactly zero sleep over it...

You really don't see the manipulation behind the word that they chose??

"Crash" implies that the incident was merely an "accident", meanwhile "massacre" would imply (correctly) that a black supremacist intentionally targeted white conservatives.

    Whatever makes you happy...:bored:

I personally find that position to be an egregious oversimplification (that paints all cases with a broad brush)...
    But hey, you do you...

I guess we will have to agree to disagree...

Btw--Before you *edited* that post, you made a horrifically misguuded attempt to equate the parade incident with what happened when a vehicle rammed protesters in Charlottesville...
Kudos for realizing the error in your ways...:flagus:

I read quite a few articles about this, but never saw one which referred it to as a crash.

Not surprised to see FOX invent something so they can cry and whine about the "MSM", and its ironic as hell that they are the poster boy of the MSM, and yet they pretend they have nothing to do with it. Then it turns out the media they refer to is actually the social media.

    White conservatives.

Waukesha is a VERY white (and a conservative-leaning) community.

It was not a crash. It was a malicious massacre and a hate crime.

    Great...
So, then why are the people referenced in the OP whining about it being referred to as a "crash"?

Really? Can you prove that? I edited it for two typos, not for content. What BS are you talking now? Is there a glitch in the liberal matrix you live in that made you see something that wasn’t there?

This is what liberals must do in order to remain a liberal. They must pretend not to know things.

    So what?

It still fits the accepted definition of a "crash".

Just because a Human can be referred to as a "Mammal" does not preclude them from being called a "Human".

A human can be referred to as a "mammal" to make it seem like his dog (also a "mammal") destroyed the living room instead of HIM (specifically a "human") ... See how words can be used to manipulate???

Likewise, the word "crash" can be used to make what is actually a malicious massacre and a hate crime committed by a black supremacist appear to be merely an "accident" while "fleeing" from a "domestic dispute"... No biggie, eh?? ;) ;)

I think the how and why he ended up at the parade was explained by his "fleeing" the scene of a crime, either a stabbing or his beating his girlfriend or ho or whoever she was, and maybe there's some overlap there. The problem arises when he comes to the parade and - well, there are no police chasing him. At that point he's making a decision to run these guys over, he made the choice to do what he did as he was in no imminent danger of being pulled over - and like I said, unless he was legally blind, he can see they're all white. He didn't have to plow thru anyone, in fact he could have avoided the parade altogether or simply put his car in park. The guy WANTED to run over these victims at this point.

His posts - and there were more than a few - may have been over a year prior but you and I know that things from decades prior get held against people and I doubt you need me to pull up a bunch of threads on this forum to prove that.

Ok - what single word would you suggest, instead of “crash”?

Your fellow liberals invented the term "Hate Crime" in order to manipulate the justice system to your benefit. Like most of liberal's fabricated rules, you resent when it is used by others against liberal interests. Anything to pretend this guy isn't "really" a black guy who mowed down 50 innocent white people.

Yup. It is true that posts or articles from years ago, even decades ago, get held against people.

Of course, some people lack the intellectual sophistication to realize that circumstances (and people) change.

George Wallace was a Racist Governor who stood in the schoolhouse door to prevent Blacks from entering--Years later he had CHANGED his mind.

So, I guess, after he had already changed his ways and reformed, people who lack the intellectual sophistication to realize that people are free to change their minds could say "Hey Lookie! 25 Years Ago!".

I prefer to judge people on RECENT Conduct, and not PAST statements.
    But, hey--Whatever...
And, obviously, social media creates a sort of "paper trail".
Look what happened to Jon Gruden.

Anyway, I have never been a fan of Ultra-PC Run Amok.

    As far as Brooks?

IF anybody wants to use his past social media posts to estalish a "Hate Crime" charge, I could not care less...

He is getting Life in Prison (without parole) regardless.

Now, I am not defending his previous social media statements.

Maybe (on the day of the incident) his intent may have been racially motivated?
    Maybe he had changed?

In any event, when it comes to people at Anonymous Online Forums--Anybody is Free to Change their mind at ANY time (even mid-sentence).
Things Change, Circumstances Change, and People are Free to Change their mind at ANY time.

That is why egregiously misguided "techniques" (like dredging up posts from over 5 years ago) represent the epitome of lacking the intellectual sophistication to realize that (with the passage of time) everyone is free to change their minds at ANY time.

I, personally, have no problem with the Parade Incident being referred to by it's correct definition--A "Crash".

And, if anybody can legally justify a "Hate Crime" scenario--Then, have at it...

ONE Life Sentence without Parole or TEN makes no difference.
