Click on the link I gave you. Over on the left hand side there's a little triangle. That's called a play button. The quotes I gave you start somewhere around the 31 minute mark.
@AARguy Is the play button working for you? Would you like more minute marks? I found lots of other great quotes for you that I can share later.
I listened a lot. Its not what you say... but very interesting. I knew McMaster didn't say what you said and when taken in proper context he didn't. I knew him when we were Captains together. I was assigned to write a report about his fantastic battle victory at "73 Easting". He's still the great warrior. And that makes me feel better after watching my West Point classmate Lloyd Austin embarrass our whole class. So... thanks.
I quoted him directly. He called it a surrender agreement. He called it a capitulation agreement. Which you said he would never do.
Taken in context, what he said, as a SOLDIER was that it was an agreement that was too weak. You make it sound as if the agreement was for every soldier to freeze in place, throw away their weapons and grovel at the feet of the Taliban screaming in unison for mercy... it wasn't that. I agree it was too soft but it never went anywhere because Biden took over. He changed the departure date. He said to abandon the northern airfield (that was never in any Trump agreement). Biden said to leave the Americans behind. Trump was never involved in that level of detail so far before the fact.
He didn't just call it too weak. He called it a surrender. He also criticized Trumps release of thousands of terrorists. He didn't call it weak. He called it a surrender to the Taliban. You called me a liar for directly quoting him saying so. Yes, Biden PUSHED BACK THE DATE. Trump would have surrendered even sooner. "Never went anywhere"? This was the surrender that Trump negotiated. He was bragging about it just 2 months before it happened. The only difference was Biden gave us more time.
Not a lib, and those "details" don't change the fact that McMaster called it surrender and capitulation. I suppose "details like that" are something that you, like your friend here, are incapable of addressing. Can't say I'm surprised, unfortunately. Any fact that makes the God Emperor look bad must be ignored at all costs. Reality must bend to Master Trump's ego.
As the great bard once said, "Never try to teach a pig to sing. It just wastes your time and irritates the pig.' You are not here to have a pleasant discussion or exchange ideas. You are here to argue and spew your hate for Trump. Well, considering that hate is nothing but destructive, and your emotional hate of Trump is so toxic. I will be putting you on ignore now. Trump isn't even in office anymore and I'm much more interested in what we do to make a better world in 2022 and beyond than rehashing old, irrelevant efforts to place blame on someone for what is getting older and more irrelevant every day. Plus I want to leave this forum every ay having learned something new. Your repetitive, hateful rants can't help me meet that objective. Have a nice day... in IgnoreLand.
I'll take it as a badge of honor. To recap: You blamed the Afghanistan withdrawal on Biden. I pointed out that it was negotiated by Trump and Trump said there was nothing Biden could do about it. You called me a liar for saying so. I proved you wrong. I quoted McMaster labelling this a surrender to the Taliban. You called me a liar for saying so. I proved you wrong. Now you run away and hide and claim that anyone who acknowledges these objective truths just hates Trump. I appreciate the white flag.
There's nothing "weird" about accepting objective facts. Trump negotiated this surrender. That's a fact. He bragged about it. His staff acknowledged it was a surrender. These are facts. Are you capable of acknowledging them?
So, Biden bragged he was going to undo everything Trump had done, but this was the one thing he couldn’t undo? How terrible for Slow Joe, he must have felt terrible about it. Or, it was a convenient excuse...just saying.
So back to Taiwan. Abe is warning China off. Biden is waffling after surrendering in Afghanistan. China's military continues to prep. This is "The Gathering Storm"... Pacific Rim Style.
I never heard him brag that he was "going to undo everything Trump had done." If he said it, that's idiotic. Notice how I'm not calling you a liar. He very well could have said it. If he did, then it was one of his worst brain farts. Not as bad as "you ain't black," but still horrible. Convenient excuse? TRUMP AND HIS STAFF WERE THE ONES SAYING THIS. You know what, you're right. Biden is a wizard. He brainwashed Trump into taking this credit and he brainwashed McMaster into calling it a surrender/capitulation. And you have the nerve to lecture others about "the weird zone?" Better yet, he actually travelled back in time and shape-shifted into Trump to negotiate with the Taliban and release thousands of them.
??? Biden dumped Trumps plan and went with his own. Even changed the agreed upon date to 9/11 for dramatic effect.
We withdrew at the end of August. Biden didn't dump Trump's surrender agreement. He enforced it. All he did was push the date back to August. The only thing Trump would have done differently would have been to get out earlier.
China is not going to invade Taiwan any more than Israel is going to attack Iran (or vice versa.) Everybody get over it already.
We're not going to start a world war and have millions die over Taiwan, especially considering that they are Chinese themselves, and no one knows how many may have an ethnic and racial affinity towards their own homeland? These things run deep and are embedded in people's DNA. The vicious attacks on the Chinese in our own cities recently, would have brought all their historical memories to the forefront. What we might do though, is not start a full scale war, and simply cause chaos and destruction as we have in Iraq, Libya, Syria and Ukraine by supplying some faction in Taiwan with advanced arms. That is if we haven't done so already.
HR McMaster, one of Donald Trump’s former national security advisers, has condemned the deal struck with the Taliban during the previous administration as a “surrender agreement”. “Our secretary of state [Mike Pompeo] signed a surrender agreement with the Taliban,” Mr McMaster said on Bari Weiss’ podcast Honestly. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...aliban-peace-deal-us-withdrawal-b1907241.html
Nukes have been around since 1945. Since then, a whole bunch of wars have been waged without the use of nukes. I doubt if any conflict over Taiwan would change this.
