The Restoration Begins! Republicans move to ban federal funds to states, cities that allow non-citizens to vote.

Several extreme left wing "municipalities from San Francisco to New York have moved to allow non-citizens to cast ballots in local elections."

Who here, while visiting a foreign country, was arrogant enough to try to vote in their local elections?

Marco says, let's use our heads!
Make a choice Blue Extremists, their votes or our money.

Protecting Our Democracy by Preventing Foreign Citizens from Voting Act

"It's ridiculous that states are allowing foreign citizens to vote," Rubio said. "However, if states and localities do let those who are not U.S. citizens to vote in elections, they shouldn't get U.S. citizen taxpayer money."

    Americans first, in America!

"far-left states and cities have moved to disenfranchise Americans by allowing non-citizens to participate in our elections."

Well, they hate Americans and want to take away their voice and status as a self-ruled people, because these Left Wing Privileged Gentry want to rule over their fellow Americans who they hold in contempt and disdain.

"The move toward non-citizen voting makes a mockery of U.S. citizenship." They don't like us, of course they mock us. They think we "smell like Walmart."

Attempted Office Theft By The Left:

"The issue of non-citizen voting first came to a boil at the end of the 2018 Georgia governor's race, when Democrat Stacey Abrams suggested the "blue wave" of voters she hoped would put in her office included the "documented and undocumented," the latter a leftist preferred term for illegal aliens."

Oh letting noncitizens vote in local elections sounds like a wonderful idea! We should expand it. It's really going to help with the naturalization process and help encourage our politicians to fix our broken immigration system.

Non citizens should have no say as to who is elected to represent American citizens at any level of government. It’s totally wrong.

Why? They live there. They have an interest in keeping the community alive and well. Why not let them vote?

Non-citizens are counted in the census for the purposes of representation and resource allocation. Seems they should have some say in how those resources are used.

Because they are not citizens of our country. They have no right to contribute to a majority that overrides the people who are citizens on any given issue.

The constitution says one must be a citizen to vote. Thus this can never ever happen in a federal election. Fortunately this crap can only happen in blue cities and I live in a small red one.

But that's not the issue. The issue is local elections that happen... locally. So what the federal government says on this is kinda irrelevant. The state and local level is what matters and they have the power to say non citizens can vote in local elections.

Tank Abrams openly called for them in GA state elections and the GA Senate elections are why Dems control the Senate, so yes, they can have national impact.

You can have your illegal voters, or you can have Federal cash, that's all.

WE are the Federal government. WE speak through our elected representatives. If WE determine that WE will not fund states that allow illegals to vote, then that is the law that binds our conscience.

If an illegal wants to benefit and join OUR society, their first job is to be here in compliance with OUR laws. Do you hate Americans? Is that why you are in such a consistent posture of attack on OUR laws?

Would this help or hinder the Conservative arguement against a Federal Voting rights bill when they are currently arguing the Federal Government shouldn't impose voting regulations on states?

Wonderful! A newly converted socialist comrade!

Welcome aboard! You have no idea how hard it's been to explain to these right-wingers that WE, as a democratic society, are ultimately the ones who make the decisions through the representatives that we elect.

    Give 'em hell!

Sanity/Common Sense: GOP move to ban federal funds to states, cities that allow noncitizens to vote

It should be illegal for federal government to transfer funds to states, themselves taxing authorities. It is a means to take power from the states, something the constitution didn't want to have happen. It is corruption personified.

Fake News. The First phrase of our Constitution which undergirds our Liberal Democracy is WE THE PEOPLE. Given your complete unfamiliarity with our system of government, I must presume your roots are elsewhere.
Nothing there that refutes my marvelously made point.

Okay, so foreign interference in our elections is no longer bad. Thanks for bringing us current. If I can please have your address so I can break in and live there, that would be great. Also, I want equal say in how you run your household and how you spend your income.

Can’t really be foreign if they’re voting in the country they live in. But the fears of a government giving up lots of its people to vote in an election is completely unfounded.

We are discussing our government diluting the voices of our own citizens. Are we going to pretend this anything other than a move to gain/maintain power?

Talk about big fed gov't going down to near the lowest level of local gov't to inflict their will upon them.
If one is for this, then one must be for the Voters Right Act some in congress are pushing for.
Fed gov't messing in local elections should not be an option.

We are under no obligation to fund States who allow foreigners to vote. These States can have the money, but, they will not be allowed to have the foreign vote AND the money. It's about choices.

Uhhh no. They’re not citizens of this country. Which means they have representation in their OWN country. If they want representation here, they need to follow the legal process of becoming a citizen and renounce their legal representation in another country.
