No human is immune against being infected by AIDS. Get real. To have a better or worse immune system is totally not relevant.

    Absolutely not.

It reads on viruses in general "Several studies also support a connection between vitamin D deficiency and the incidence and severity of infectious diseases"
incidence =/= immune, but just giving you (slightly) better odds to not get it.
And this line goes on that if you get it, it could be less severe.

On HIV it says specifically that:
"Various findings have demonstrated that vitamin D deficiency may influence HIV pathogenesis via negative modulation of innate and adaptive immune responses"
pathogenesis is about the progression, when you already HAVE it.

The entire article really is about if you get HIV, a virus that attacks your body, what you can do to make the best out of it... and support taking vitamin D.

This article is from late september 2021, when half the western world already got vaxxed, and the conclusion of that article says they got nothing conclusive. At best it says: The role that vitamin D3 plays besides its classical actions in immune cells and non-skeletal target tissues would help in extrapolating its role in the severity of this disease and its clinical outcome.

That is a far and far cry of claiming it's a shield against covid. And the fact that it's still NOT conclusive, is eyebow raising that they still haven't been able to prove it after 1,5 years of research.

Oh it’s very relevant. The innate immune system includes many mechanisms that prevent HIV infection.

LOL. If incidence of disease is impacted that means exposed individuals are not becoming infected. Not becoming infected can only result from immunity. Virology isn’t your thing. You are embarrassing yourself.

I just love when you pretend to understand epidemiology. It’s so easy to show you know NOTHING of the subject. But I’m always happy to provide correct information when it’s needed—and you need it. Here is the definition of pathogenesis.
Clearly you have no idea what the term “pathogenesis” means. Of course even an understanding of root words should have given you a clue you are wrong. “Genesis” denotes origin or beginning, not what happens only after the beginning.
Nope. It’s about mechanisms that prevent infection as well that depend on adequate Vitamin D. Everything you claim about Vitamin D and HIV is anti science. I wouldn’t expect anything less.

That line is about all viruses in general, while a word like "incidence" means there is absolutely zero guarantee that you can not get infected.
While the entire article is not about how much your chances are reduced at all, but how the vitamins help when you are infected.
Because of that, it remains a joke to claim that taking a vitamin makes you immune against AIDS.

And I add / where is actually comes down to: Nowhere does it say how much less of a risk you have by taking vitamins, or that there have been success full trials about people being exposed to AIDS and not getting it due to taking vitamin D.

    About preventing. It says:
Vitamin D inhibits maturation of dendritic cells, thus preventing excessive inflammatory response to infectious diseases.
So the response is prevented, not the infection.

Future studies in this area should “investigate the role of vitamin D in prevention of long-term complications in HIV
So the complications caused by HIV are prevented, but not being infected by HIV.

Both sentences actually say the same.

Now is the point where you must defend your strawman or watch it go up in flames. Please show evidence natural immunity, vaccine induced immunity, or innate immunity guarantees zero infections for ANY viral disease! Go….

And no, much of the article describes mechanisms that prevent infection. Here some are again that you apparently missed.
Try reading ALL the supplied information. :)
Another strawman? The information in the article I linked comes from numerous “trials”. Where did you think it came from?
Both infection and poor outcomes are prevented. You just edit out all the information on prevention of infection. LOL.

Both are prevented. You just keep selectively editing.
The definition of pathogenesis I supplied invalidates all your false claims. You are operating from a false premise because you don’t even understand basic terms used in the field of epidemiology.

Rogan was an actor on a TV show called NewsRadio in the mid 1990s.

One thing I find quite hilarious and hypocritical of Rogan is he wants people to come together yet he vilifies Trump to no end. Rogan must be a dyed in the wool socialist of some sort...Maybe a left libertarian like Bill Maher?

Pfff. I didn't claim that taking vitamin D was the answer to become immune against Covid or AIDS. But you have.
I have not to see numbers how well it works from you. Where is your peer reviewed evidence? GO!

You got going... "there appears to be a link". So it could be all a bloody coincidence for all they know. This is absolutely no certainty. Get over it.

Try understanding what is a fact and what is still not known. :)

I'm not seeing any %'s of the rate of success, are you? You know why not? It's because they aren't certain of it... and put in words like it may be this / appears to be that. There also may be Martians around, there appears to be a link between people who claim to be abducted and Martians... but it could just not be the case. har har har.

Specifically where the article mentions what is "prevented" it's flat out not mentioning getting infected in the first place.

I've not edited the text saying what is being prevented / you did not quote what part I edited out or something.

Where it says pathogenesis... it goes as far as stating it MAY influence it. And you dishonestly translate that into that it definitely is influencing it -not partially but- for a 100%, and specifically about getting infected. While pathogenesis is not just about getting infected. You sourced that, but you haven't applied it. You really are out of line and just read what you want to read while it's simply not there.

OK, he was a UFC commentator and mixed martial arts fanatic, that is where I got confused about his past. I saw him in person, not much there to interest me but he is very popular. As for him being a socialist or leftist, not sure what those terms mean to you. To me they mean a hope that one day we can have what other first world nations have....

It doesn't help to not become infected. Your source isn't saying that it does. It goes as far as it might do something, but there are no % given of any kind of degree. They got zero on it.
You supplied how things... specifically "may" influence something. But as I noted, it also may not.
You claim it can not be a coincidence, but THAT is absolutely NOT mentioned in the source.
    The curtain falls.

So you have nothing to support YOUR claim? Nothing at all?

And you reject two studies, one showing observed prevention of infection, the other confirming the mechanism of prevention through vitroassay And you reject a study showing prevention of infection among infants attributed BY SCIENCE (not me) to Vitamin D.

You have repeatedly moved the goal posts and I’ve kicked 50 yarders straight through the uprights every time you’ve moved them. Yes, you have failed and it’s curtains for you. On that we agree.

I didn't say vitamin D helps, and sourced a claim to support it even works against AIDS.

I don't reject it. I read what is mentioned there.
And if you got a "it may be this, it may be that" ... than you got nothing.

Still nothing to support your claims? Hmmm. I’m shocked.

I’ve presented now two studies showing prevention and one showing the mechanism. No "it may be this, it may be that". That’s your unsubstantiated claim.

Still not able to prove that vitamin D works. I'm shocked.

your source is using the word "may".

I have provided the evidence in quantitative prevention and confirming the mechanism by vitroassay. No “may” in the studies I’ve provided above. I accept your confirmation you are a science denier. And your concession you can provide NO evidence to support YOUR claims. Not one piece of evidence to support your opinions.

You must mean America in the 1850s. Post ww2 America was becoming more like Europe and Canada every day and it turned out fantastic. People like you don't even know what the term means in this era so find another word for your ignorance. How about "empathy, compassion, community, citizenship, hope" instead of socialism. Every time you want to say socialism, substitute the real words that describe what we care about.

Socialism = ripping off achievers to give free stuff to bums. No one argues that physically, emotionally or mentally "challenged" individuals should be helped. And TEMPORARY help for folks experiencing a short-term bumpin the road should be helped too. But able-bodied folks living of MY money is just WRONG.

Gibberish, socialism as practiced in every other first world country is about helping each other and creating a greater culture and society that promotes a wonderful quality of life for one and all. Your Hobbesian world only breeds misery, poverty, pain and inequality. Ever wonder why so many white conservatives in the heartland are pissed off? Because they are the victims of this cold blooded capitalism but are not aware enough to recognize who the real culprits are, they have been told its some black woman on welfare. Ha!

OK... so you want to support lazy bums. Have at it. Just keep your hand out of MY wallet. I must admit that I don't know much about your world. I know very few people that didn't attend college or learn a lucrative trade like electrician or carpenter. I'm not sure I've ever met anyone on welfare. My friends all chose school over welfare. I taught high school in the juvenile detention system for a year once. The kids all bragged about their uncle in Sing Sing or how their dad did ten years in some other prison. Their world was different than mine. Like yours is. But that's ok... to each their own... as long as you keep your hand out of my wallet.

    Your messages seem somehow vague.

If you think Vitamin D does not play an important role of the human immune system, you are wrong.

The word "may" is mentioned 13 times in your source, and is put in a sentence like:
Various findings have demonstrated that vitamin D deficiency may influence HIV pathogenesis via negative modulation of innate and adaptive immune responses, as highlighted here.

So you're just lying that there is no "may" in the studie.
It flat out is all about: It may influence it, or it may not.
You simply just want to read what you like to read.
