I was canceled from another forum that I had participated in for 30 years. It was fairly run until a few years ago when leftists took it over. They said they welcome all points of view, but they didn't. I said things about COVID that have now been proven by the metadata; to wit, cloth masks don't work, natural immunity is better than the vaccine, and children are harmed by the mask policy. Comically, they started putting warning labels on my messages. Then when I defended Kyle Rittenhouse (who was ultimately acquitted) and identified the Waukesha mass murderer, they accused me of promoting hate and canceled me. So here I am.
You're welcome to the forum I don't think that'll happen to you here cuz I was always skeptical of masks and I've made voice my skepticism plenty of times here. You might get accused of promoting hate if you're speaking about the truth regarding Kyle Rittenhouse but unless you're breaking any of the forum rules nobody's going to remove you. This forum is really quite Fair
Hi Ramjet! There was a Ramjet on a forum I recently left, he was about the only one still there when I left who still made any sense. But I wasn't going to stay on a forum that was 99% idiots. Whatever I wrote they declared wrong and eventually it became clear they were only there to pump up their own egos. Welcome!
All false claims. MYTH: The natural immunity I get from being sick with COVID-19 is better than the immunity I get from COVID-19 vaccination. FACT: Getting a COVID-19 vaccination is a safer and more dependable way to build immunity to COVID-19 than getting sick with COVID-19. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/facts.html?s_cid=11714:natural immunity vs vaccine:sem.ga:RG:GM:genTN:FY22
I'm what you would call a Lefty. I'm a Progressive, and I pay attention. In the past, I spoke my mind. That got me booted out of a number of forums. One of them was supposedly liberal, and they weren't at all happy when I told them they were anti-Semitic. Anyway, this place is quite tolerant. So much so that we have a serious infestation of professional trolls.
When I saw the misinformation disclaimer for Covid related threads It never occurred to me that it would ever apply to anything democrats would have to say.
Why claim to be a "New Member" introducing yourself when you actually joined this forum in October 2016 and have been posting here on a regular basis since last December? Or is that just more of the same disinformation as you were spreading in that other forum? To put it bluntly your "introduction" comes over as disingenuous which makes it difficult to extend the "welcome mat".
30 years? That is so wrong that they did that. As long as you didn't threaten anybody personally on the web forum they should have given you the benefit of the doubt, especially given the length of your membership.
Welcome to you. While I disagree with your positions on those particular points, I don't agree with cancelling. The genie has left the bottle in terms of universal access to information, and that's exactly what we chose when we invented the internet. We must make peace with that, because it's too late to wind it back now. Attempting to do so means tyranny.
Although cloth masks are nowhere near as effective as say, an N95 they do mitigate some of the spread and that helps “flatten the curve”. As for “natural immunity” people who believe that rubbish I think of adding to “Evolution in action”
Correct! As you know, the spread of the virus is a problem of statistics. Every layer of protection one could add reduced the chances of spreading the virus or catching it. Also, by reducing the exposure even with a minimal filter, one could help to reduce the severity of the disease if you did get it. The reason we had doctors and nurses dropping like flies was their level of exposure. The greater the viral load received, the greater the chance that it will kill you or make you severely ill.Health care workers were surrounded by so much virus that any exposure was likely a large dose of the virus. Health care workers have been wearing masks for 100 years. And they didn't have N95 masks in 1920. You would think the idea was invented 2 years ago.
