What do you think about Russia invading Ukraine? You know, the actual topic of this thread.

Ukrainians report that a large russian column is moving out of Kherson after they had their arses handed to them in Mykolaiv region.
As I’ve been saying, while russian leadership is taking its time to decide what to do, Ukrainians butcher russian fascists and harass their forces from all sides. Ukrainians are literally cleansing Ukraine off Russian troops now. The amount of trophy equipment is so high that Zelensky yesterday called Russia a Ukrainian weapons supplier.

I prefer to get the info directly from the people on the ground, not a conspiracy nut blog. ;)

    No. I don't.

    Obviously, I haven't.

I was following the career of your Führer long before his Anschluss campaign in Ukraine began in 2014, and I was following it years before he pulled the same revanchist stunt in Georgia in 2008.

In fact, I was following him before his Reichstag fire in 1999...

It is truly and eerily remarkable how similar that fascist war criminal is to Adolf Hitler and how he has operated straight out of his Nazi mentor's playbook, and it's not the least bit surprising that he's brought the world to the 1938 moment it is in today.

Time to say a prayer for all those Ukrainian forces left in Mariupol. They need to understand that the game is over.

Never mess with the Chechens. 5,000 Chechen Spetsnaz have already entered Mariupol in the dead of night and are cleaning it up. Mariupol is completely surrounded. They sent a video message to Azov neo-Nazis beforehand: surrender - or else.

Chechens die from bullets just like everyone else. Russians fear them after Chechens were exceptionally cruel to Russians during both Chechen wars.
Ukrainians are not afraid of them. All Chechens will die in Mariupol.

After this war, Russians will be afraid of Ukrainians more than they are afraid of the Chechens.

Russia is the only country that makes war on civilians as a matter of policy.
The USA certainly has problems, but no one would move from any of those cities you named to any city in Russia.

Interesting take, and there is a striking similarity between Putin's war and Kirills war and bin Laden's jihad, and they're not exclusively religious wars. They're a mix of politics, religion and culture, and all three serve to reinforce each other, If I were to draw you a picture of this concept it would be that of the ancient Roman fasces:

What else do all three of these men have in common?

A nostalgia for a fabled Golden Age of the past, and a desire to resurrect that past in the present.

In the case of Putin and Kirill, it is the glory days of the Orthodox Russian Empire. In bin Laden's case it was the glory days of the Islamic Arab caliphates that once ruled from Spain to India.

Give those kind of men power and you get a dangerous cocktail of fantasy mixing with reality and a blurring of the line between the two.

What you see there may be the difference that people see in the Putin they dealt with in the past and the Putin they see today. I've heard the word "descended" used in reference to that and I think they might be saying that he has descended into that fantasy world where the line between it and real world have become blurred, and now he's taking chances he may have never taken before. His many years in power and isolation may have contributed to that, too:

This is how people can say on one hand that he is still a cold, calculating dictator who has no respect or regard for human life, and on the other hand, someone who may be losing their mind/grip on reality. Who knows where such a mind will lead a man, especially when that man possesses something that can make him even more delusional and potentially reckless and destructive - power. I get the impression that Condi Rice and others are suggesting that he's become a volatile mix of the rational and irrational.

Oh, you're Mr Research now? I have't heard you say squat about the last 8 years worth of genocide in the Donbass.

How about a little war crime by your hero Zelensky? From American sources.

A better question is what the hell is wrong with you

Deflecting unwanted attention and criticism away from Putin and the war crimes he is committing in Ukraine is the only excuse a xenophobic Russian troll needs.

Let me ask you. How do you know that Donbas? How do you know the man walking in it is American? Have you seen his passport, or even his ID? How do you know this man is not a Russian, or a Russian sympathizer who is pushing their agenda? How do you know this is a viable source. YouTube reporters do not have the same sources to fact check and vet their material. If I made a video of a Russian invasion in the US and posted it on YouTube you would likely believe it.

I guess we now know Biden's economic plan:
1.) Completely turn the progressives and working class over to their political enemies.
2.) Go full fascist Neo-liberal domestically and in foreign policy:

"Chris Hedges: Waltzing Toward Armageddon with the Merchants of Death: The doctrine of permanent war dominated our lives during the Cold War and dominates our lives now.
    March 14, 2022

    [excerpt...]
The Ukrainian war has silenced the last vestiges of the Left. Nearly everyone has giddily signed on for the great crusade against the latest embodiment of evil, Vladimir Putin, who, like all our enemies, has become the new Hitler. The United States will give $13.6 billion in military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, with the Biden administration authorizing on Saturday an additional $200 million in military assistance. The 5,000-strong EU rapid deployment force, the recruitment of all Eastern Europe, including Ukraine, into NATO, the reconfiguration of former Soviet Bloc militaries to NATO weapons and technology have all been fast tracked. Germany, for the first time since World War II, is massively rearming. It has lifted its ban on exporting weapons. Its new military budget is twice the amount of the old budget, with promises to raise the budget to more than 2 percent of GDP, which would move its military from the seventh largest in the world to the third-, behind China and the United States. NATO battlegroups are being doubled in size in the Baltic states to more than 6,000 troops. Battlegroups will be sent to Romania and Slovakia. Washington will double the number of U.S. troops stationed in Poland to 9,000. Sweden and Finland are considering dropping their neutral status to integrate with NATO....This is a recipe for global war."

I call it as I see it. The Russian forces under Putin don't care who they attack and that's a fact.

    RESEARCH, something you haven't done.

And as for you claim about Veteran's Today being owned by the Kremlin:

    https://www.veteranstoday.com/about-vt/

"VT has NO official, unofficial, or contracted media partners and takes NO monies from any outside media sources, governments, or sponsors.

To be even more clear, there are NO RUSSIAN SPONSORS, SAUDI ARABIAN BANKERS, ISRAELI’S, IRANIANS, or anyone else funding VT except for advertisers and small yet very appreciative and important donations made by individual readers. That’s it.

VT is truly 100% independent and privately American owned. There are NO other media, corporate, or government sponsor."

Veterans Today is a pro-Kremlin, antisemitic conspiracy theory and fake news website. It describes itself as a "military veterans and foreign affairs journal", but the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) had said "the anti-Israel bent on VT can slide pretty quickly into overt anti-Semitism."[1]

Veteran Fox News cameraman and Ukrainian journalist killed while reporting
By Oliver Darcy and Brian Stelter, CNN Business
Updated 12:37 PM ET, Tue March 15, 2022

New York (CNN Business)Two journalists were killed while reporting in Ukraine on Monday, including Pierre Zakrzewski, a longtime Fox News photojournalist.

Zakrzewski's death was announced on Tuesday by Fox News Media chief executive Suzanne Scott who said he was killed when a vehicle he was traveling in with correspondent Benjamin Hall came under fire.

The death of Ukrainian journalist Oleksandra Kuvshynova was announced by Anton Gerashchenko, an advisor to the Ukrainian Interior Minister. Gerashchenko, who blamed artillery shelling by Russian forces, said Kuvshynova died in the same incident as Zakrzewski.

    ... https://www.cnn.com/2022/03/15/media/fox-cameraman-killed-pierre-zakrzewski/index.html

I don't know if the Russians are targeting journalists or are so careless, indiscriminate and desperate that they'll fire on anybody and everybody, but this is simply monstrous.
