I certainly did and was wondering if anyone else did given the rush to accuse women of false testimony
They investigate and all they have is the word of the woman, should there be a conviction based on that alone?
I have to many threads I choose to participate and don't accept "dares". Do you have something to add HERE?
No one claimed it was false or true. But we certainly know there have always been false claims of race and where the courts to decree that all it takes is an accusation we can rest assured the number of false claims would go up. Try again. In you country can you be put in prison merely on an accusation?
http://www.politicalforum.com/index...ne-and-inappropriately-touching-child.597719/ Seems very few on the right are willing to stand up and say that the man in the OP deserved his sentence
"In a 2010 study of 136 reports of sexual assault investigated by a university police department, 8 (5.9%) were coded as false reports, 61 (44.9%) did not proceed to any prosecution or disciplinary action, 48 (35.3%) were referred for prosecution or disciplinary action, and 19 (13.9%) contained insufficient information to be coded.[1] According to a 2013 book on forensic victimology, the true percentage remains unknown due to the varying definitions of a "false accusation".[2]" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_accusation_of_rape Imagine if some women and even some men suddenly were told all it takes is your word to put someone else in jail for a long and then come out as a sex criminal and have to register as such the rest of your life.
IN THAT COURT in your country can you be put in prison merely on an accusation? Why do you keep with the ridiculous dodging?
But HOW does the court system determine "guilt" or "innocence" ? How should it do that exactly? That's what I'm trying to get people to think about a little bit. Because plenty of times it all comes down to the woman's accusation and there's really no other solid evidence that could prove things.
Does it? Got proof? And WTF do you think there are things like “Rape kits” and why people like E Jean Carrol keep the clothes they were wearing https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2022/mar/11/donald-trump-e-jean-carroll-countersue-blocked Note she is not going for criminal charges so different rules apply but if he denies having sex with her and she has clothes with his sperm on them he is…..
yes, but without some proof, blood, dna, witnesses, or a confession, injuries to my hands, etc..... it would be hard for you to get justice, especially if you waited months to report it should you win, and will you win are two different things
Three stories about men who got wrongfully put in prison for rape due to the false accusations of a woman: Take a look what a false rape accusation can be do innocent man who spent 5 years in prison on rape conviction now freed Men Accused of Rape 3 stories (read the third story about the man named James Donald Anderson) In this case the victim misidentified her attacker: Autistic man wrongfully convicted of rape, spent 2 years in prison
The word of one witness has NEVER held up in ANY case. There has to be collaborating evidence. Guess I just supposed that was a given.
I was a Public safety Officer for a school and did many investigations into rape allegations . Some times the only witness is the 2 people involved and you have to go off the available evidence , which includes interviews with others about the persons involved and their reputations. Its not always easy to make a determination as fake charges do happen out of embarrassment about having sex or out of revenge . There usually is some type of evidence to help. Justice is not always right lots of innocent people in jail and guilty people walking around.
"Should a man who is accused of rape be put in prison when the only evidence is the testimony of a woman who claims she was raped?" " If I sued you for coming over and beating me up and it was just my word should I win?" There is not "some proof". Justice is for the accused. Would it be justice to only convict on the accusation?
should you win yes, but you may not, that is what I said I said "without some proof, blood, dna, witnesses, or a confession, injuries to my hands, etc..... it would be hard for you to get justice"
You believe you should be convicted on my, or anyone else's, word alone? And justice is for the accused. What justice is that?
Can you provide a link to a case in recent history where a man was convicted of rape solely on the testimony of the victim? No forensic evidence, no circumstantial evidence, no confession, no signs of injury, no nothing whatsoever. Can you point to a recent case like that? I would think that it would be next to impossible to get a conviction in a case like that.
I believe you should win if someone does that to you.... unfortunately without evidence, you will lose remember, in your hypothetical it did happen so should you win.... yes..... will you... no "I would think that it would be next to impossible to get a conviction in a case like that." that is what I said, you would deserve justice, and should get it, but you wont
I asked you if I charged YOU should YOU be thrown in jail simply on my accusation? Would YOU deserve justice? Justice is for the accused. Read the Constitution about justice who is it referring to?
and I said, if someone did that to you, yes, they should be charged and punished, but I also added, that without anything but your word, you would not get justice you deserved justice is for the victim... but sometimes the victim will not get justice and yes, sometimes those found guilty are really the victims, which is why I am against the death penalty http://www.forejustice.org/wc/ray_krone_JD_vol2_i9.htm
