You do not know? amazingly! The US also has Oakland. And not alone. Oakland is a city in California. Oakland is a city in the state of Florida.

A lot of the areas where African Americans have traditionally been concentrated are now being replaced by other immigrant groups, and the areas are "gentrifying" and the price of housing is increasing. (Although the price of housing is increasing to a greater level more than it is actually "gentrifying")

Of course the story of what is happening to these African Americans and where they are going to is another story.

It's cold there. Not freezing, but cold for 40% of the year. Not very warm for another 30%.

You didn't say Oakland. You said Auckland. Oakland is across the bay from San Francisco. It is run by democrats and is actually a dangerous place to visit. I would rather visit Kyiv.

Could be. I was there in Summer. I went there for a mountain climbing trip. Stunning place.

It's stunning because of the low temperatures for most of the year. That prevents evaporation of moisture and allows everything to be lush and green.

This is a shot of Mount Cook, the highest mountain in New Zealand. We climbed it twice. The views were spectacular.

I find it hard to believe that anyone thinks that it is surprising that there is crime in large cities...

Surely only someone who lives in a foreign country would find that surprising.

But in this case I don't think there is any excuse because large Russian cities have plenty of crime as well.

It may be easier to find a job, but much harder to rent a home, buy gas and pay bills with this crazy inflation Democrats have allowed to happen.

It's obvious Destroyer of illusions is not an American and is from some other country.

I guess Auckland sounds a lot like Oakland in Russian?

I don’t see anything wrong. LA people elected leadership that seems to care more about criminals than the victims. They can easily fix this problem by voting for someone who supports law enforcement,

And thus the great exodus of the middle and upper class from CA shall accelerate. More.

What happens when there is no one left in CA to invest capital into CA?

It will become owned by external capital investment. I cant think of anything good about that...

    Thanks.
I have been waiting for an inspiring Joseph Stalin quote to hit this forum for eons. Instead, I keep getting MLK, or Winston Churchill, or John Kennedy or some other syrupy maudlin political figure. I don't mean to derail, but I have a heartwarming but poignant quote from that great Marxist revolutionary and leader of khmer rouge, Pol Pot to share. " For the other people, the babies, the young ones, I did not order them to be killed. For Son Sen and his family, yes. I feel sorry for that. That was a mistake that occurred when we put our plan into practice. I feel sorry."

Are you wrong? Is Oakland really occupied by the Democrats?

    What do you think?

    https://www.bestplaces.net/voting/city/california/oakland

"Alameda County, CA is Very liberal. In Alameda County, CA 79.8% of the people voted Democrat in the last presidential election, 17.6% voted for the Republican Party, and the remaining 2.6% voted Independent.

In the last Presidential election, Alameda county remained overwhelmingly Democratic, 79.8% to 17.6%.
Alameda county voted Democratic in every Presidential election since 2000"

Every thread that Purveyor starts that isn't some silly Russian propaganda about the Ukraine war is in support of an extremist right-wing talking about. The guy is the embodiment of Russia's years-long effort to make allies of American conservatives and interfere in our domestic politics by spreading disinformation.

Bad news for you Durandal--it appears that Russian "propaganda" about the war in Ukraine is much more in touch with reality than the NATO propaganda.

By all means though, enjoy buying into Sleepy Joe's ramblings about howitzers and such.

It appears that way from what? I get the feeling you're checking Russian propaganda against more Russian propaganda while imagining that you're being objective.

Well, I learned many years ago, about the time of the Pentagon Papers, that the US government and its lapdog (Operation Mockingbird) media usually lies and seldom tells the truth.

I've read the mainstream propaganda just so I know how they want me to think. You know, Douma, MH17 and so many more widely propagated falsehoods.

So it seems to me that in the cases of Syria and Ukraine, the Russian version of events tends to be more accurate and reliable.

Oh, so you've "learned" a broad generalization and adopted an anti-mainstream bias. Well, good for you, but how do you check what you hear from any given source? Why would you claim that Russia's version of events relating to MH17, Syria or Ukraine today is more accurate and reliable? They tell blatant, obvious lies, and you don't need CNN to tell you that.

And how do you, Durandal, know Russia is not telling the truth? Do you have some extra terrestrial powers?

Biden is blaming inflation on Putin so they might as well blame the crime on him also.

An immigration program should weed out the ones that come over the fences and into the homes and bring in the people who share values we should all embrace.
