As you all understand, we can safely say that the cost of gasoline is inversely proportional to the standard of living of the population.
The higher the cost of gasoline, the lower the standard of living of the population. With all the ensuing consequences - an increase in poverty, a drop in demand for goods, bankruptcy, an increase in unemployment .... an increase in crime ..... etc.
The White House is trying to distract the population from internal problems, rocking conflicts around the world.
Instead of helping the US population, the White House is sending weapons to the savages.
How many billions of dollars did Biden leave in Afghanistan in the form of weapons (new weapons) left to the Taliban terrorists?
How many hundreds of millions of dollars were spent on Ukrainian fascists?
And this is instead of developing their country.
Reading some of the commentators on this forum, one involuntarily recalls the phrase of Socrates - "Every nation deserves the ruler it has."

    let's be honest

the only thing that will force US oil to lower prices is a major boost in foreign oil supply, that is the reality of it

The US has increased its purchases of Russian oil by 43%, but this does not help.
I think that the rise in prices for gasoline, food, utility bills ... etc. is associated with a systemic crisis and galloping inflation.

it doesn't matter how much oil the USA has, the price is set globally, so the global supply is what matters

in fact, we are still exporting oil, even today, there is no shortage of oil in the US, no long lines at the pump

With what leverage? He cancelled the pipeline they wanted...wtf is he going to threaten them with? He's not Trump you know. He's your pick. A weak and feeble man who is confused most of the time.

Enjoy your woke 10 dollar gas fella. You voted this in, this is what you wanted.

exactly, that is my point, this is the oil companies keeping supply down, nothing Biden can do about it

the pipeline, oh, you mean to bring Canadian oil in, that oil is still coming in, just on truck, we do not have an oil shortage in the USA

were talking oil prices, not gasoline prices

    https://www.nrcan.gc.ca/our-natural...lean-fossil-fuels/crude-oil/oil-pricing/18087

"How Crude Oil Prices are Determined
The price of oil is set in the global marketplace. Oil is traded globally and can move from one market to another easily by ship, pipeline, or barge. As a result, the supply/demand balance determines the price for crude oil around the world.
Prices vary globally to reflect the cost of transporting crude oil to that market and the quality differences between the various types of oil."

Trump would have threatened them by cancelling the pipeline. The pipeline Biden already cancelled. Biden came in and made instant enemies with our domestic oil companies. They owe him no favors.

    Enjoy!

The fact you still bring that up like it's a counter to anything makes talking with you disingenuous. You are acting in bad faith now because you know I'm right.

That's fine. I expected as such. You know damn well why he wanted the prices to go up at the time, and your lack of acknowledging that or the fact that Trump bullied his will onto OPEC where as Biden can't even get them on the phone, must really be a sore spot.

Great pick for president. Things are really working out peachy, aren't they? Maybe next time vote with your head and not your heart?

the fact that you're still blaming higher gas prices on Biden vs the oil companies when it was Trump if anyone that pushed them to lower oil supply during Covid

it was easier to ask oil companies to raise prices, then it is to get them to lower them

"Trump threatens 'very substantial' tariffs on imported oil if Saudi Arabia and Russia can't reach a deal to push prices back up"

Funny how some places are being insulated from the heavy price of oil, isn't it?

Yes. I am most certainly blaming Biden for projecting weakness which opened up a window of opportunity for Russia to attack Ukraine and creating this unstable environment which he makes worse daily whenever he talks about it. Forcing NATO allies to walk back his dipshit comments.

I blame Biden for making enemies of our oil company where they would usually increase production which would lower price and demand...now they are sitting on their hands.

I blame Biden for simply stating "this is the price of democracy" instead of working hard to protect the American consumer.

I blame hysterical progressives who followed the "science" to finally get to the same mentality conservatives started off with for shutting down the world economy globally, which helped cause this instability.

I Blame Biden for many more things not related to this topic. But the reality is that since he's been in power we have gone to shitsville.

Thanks for that. What a great pick!

the fact is, oil companies lost money during covid, they won't raise supply until they make that money back
