Buffalo white supremacist Terrorist

I've seen several posts in this forum in which right-wingers suddenly went into defensive mode when it was announced that the Buffalo shooter is most likely a white-supremacist terrorist.

Why is that?

Of course, right wing extremists are now responsible for MOST deaths in acts of terrorism that happen in this country. But the concern among right-wingers doesn't seem to be how to stop them. Looks like it's more about finding "excuses".

The fact that this was a right-wing extremist doesn't mean that THE RIGHT is responsible, of course. But racial hate speech, like the "Replacement" conspiracy theory, IS. Which Tucker Carlson and other white supremacists like him love to promote. And which this shooter mentioned in his "manifesto".

And the main underlying cause is, of course, the gun epidemic that we have been suffering. Banning weapons that are designed for the SOLE purpose of killing as many people as possible in the shortest amount of time should be a huge priority. And I see no reason why even gun advocates who want guns for hunting or self defense, would not participate in this effort.

 

When one feels 'threatened', as in being overwhelmed by another group, the mode for most is a defensive position. This idiot chose an aggressive position.

Defending one's existence doesn't make one a 'supremacist'.

 

The shooter was defending his "existence"? That DEFINITELY goes into my "extreme right" outrageous claims list.

I seem to recall some conservatives taking issue with the FBI's determination, from a few years ago, that right wing extremists/terrorists posed the greatest domestic threat to America. No doubt this comment will elicit specious comparisons to ANTIFA. It's how they roll.

 

When it comes to terrorIsm do you know where it’s the worst? Sub sahara areas are responsible for 48% of terror deaths. America doesn’t even cause a blip on the screen. You do know gangs terrorize neighborhoods, don’t you? How many deaths have they racked up? I’m betting waaaaaaay more than these nearly invisible, never seen, right wing terrorists.

We went through this before. The left is counting the deaths of people that have nothing to do with terrorism. In one case a right winger killed the guy hitting on his girlfriend and that was counted as a right wing domestic terrorist murder.

Like I’m sure you are, I would feel safer, a lot safer, around these so called right wing extremists than I would at 2am on a street corner in Baltimore, St. Louis or Detroit.

Blacks kill many more blacks than white supremists. In fact, it is rare for a white supremist to kill a black man.

 

I don't think you're a white supremacist. Your insistance on repeating white supremacist propaganda to water down an extreme right terrorist attack, doesn't make you a white supremacist.

How many blacks were killed by white supremists in 2021? How many blacks were killed by other blacks in 2021?

You will find that a black many should be more concerned about his black next door neighbor than a white supremist.

I can't speak for everyone, but a lot of the people that are one click right of center get tired of the broad brush strokes from the msm and political left and being labeled a racist every time some extremist goes off the rails.

I for one could never support what this cretin did regardless of his race or beliefs. I don't think anybody is defending what he did. They are just involved in political jousting. That is what this web site is all about. We have gotten to the point where we attack the other political side even if we agree with it. Politics is humanity at its worst.

I should mention that the shooter himself claimed that he was a white supremacist. It isn't a left wing talking point.
