Why do abortion rights people whine about a group of white men overturning Roe v. Wade?

If they are making the wrong decision then their race and gender is irrelevant. Pointing at their race and gender instead of pointing at flaws in the decision is racism/sexism. Plain and simple.

When people scream that Bob is a man when he says he does not want anyone, including mothers to kill their children (as he sees it), that is a sexist adhom and a logical fallacy.

And what does their wrong decision have to do with their sex and race?

Which is what makes it hypocrisy as well as factually inaccurate...

Absolutely nothing. It is just a tactic to marginalize and silence them. Hence it only being used when they say something disagreeable.

Yeah I know all that. I just want to scrutinise them! Get them to make an argument.

I didn't say anything about their sex or race.

But that is the OP topic, so the question remains.

Why do people (not you) go on about "old white men" saying X instead of actually arguing the merits of X? Is there any reason for this other than as a dishonest adhom debate tactic?

Because they don't think that old white men should be deciding that. And to some extent their right.

Explain. Why should old white men be excluded from deciding that? Sounds both racist and sexist to me to exclude them based on their race and gender.

Your right the race is irrelevant, but the fact that men can't get pregnant means that men really don't understand what that's like and how it affects women.

To answer your title, they default to racism and everything the best thing to do to cripple this tactic is laugh at them.

    That would take a while.

The Shadow Docket didn't used to be called the Shadow Docket. It was for emergencies, and it wasn't used much. The radicals use it a lot, to make decisions. They did it to support the Texas abortion law, which is a holy sh*t.

"In the wake of these decisions — as before — Jim Crow laws are reemerging. By declining to enforce federal laws because it disagrees with Congress about whether they’re constitutionally appropriate, the Supreme Court has functioned as an antidemocratic institution that produces antidemocratic results.

The situation profoundly changes when the Supreme Court goes rogue. For precisely the same reason that it can be democratic for federal troops to enforce Congress’s interpretation of the Constitution but extremely antidemocratic for them to disregard it, the proper role for federal courts in a democracy is to serve as its agents, not as a countervailing force. Democratic decision-making belongs in the hands of democratic bodies, not people with robes or guns.

As we debate new legislation to expand the franchise and protect the right to vote, the threat of judicial invalidation has forced our elected representatives to lower their expectations about how democratic our nation can become. In the name of protecting us from the excesses of democracy, the judicial review of federal laws is costing us democracy itself."

This is both complicated and larger in scope, than can be readily handled in a forum post.

This post is just a sample

Lets look at his exact words...

"You say overreach, but having the government look up the skirts of every gal in town is not only overreach, it's religious rule."

Hmmmm. I don't see where he presents it as one of many ways. You must read minds, or at least think that you do.

As far as it being one way as you and he claim, how does that work? Does every woman show up and drop their pants weekly or is this a monthly thing? What do they check for when they are there?

Do you suppose they are hiring? I am both a fast learner and a "people" person.

"Old" was also mentioned. Would it be better if it was YOUNG men?

have to go back and see "exactly" what he was referring to .... but the analogy holds in many ways -- Gov't intruding into the vagina would be one :)

I just got a chuckle cause MVP - Pence wanted to do exactly that .. had to have a Mandatory whoop dee hoo " Vaginal Penetration" prior to being allowed to take an abortion pill.. which is insane .. these Religious right extremists wanting to impose sharia law .. and who knows what else comes down the pike once you start sliding down that slope.
