https://www.zerohedge.com/personal-...-claims-surge-4-month-high-philly-fed-plunges HYPERLINK has full article and graphs snip It appears the 'strongest labor market ever' is showing signs of stress as the number of Americans seeking first time jobless benefits surged to 218k last week - its highest since mid-January...... So sentiment is slumping, financial conditions are tightening (at their tightest since Dec 2018's flip-flop), and now the jobs market is floundering. And The Fed has 10 more rate-hikes to go this year?! end snip I really am unsure as to whether this was deliberately done by the Democrat party or are they really that incompetent? In any event, Democrat votes caused this. In November, let's put gridlock into DC
The framers were actually largely against a two party system as it is a race to the bottom. The revisionist history is fascinating
I said nothing about political parties. The framers and founders did not like political parties (2, 3, 4, 5, et al) but knew they were, like the rain and the sun, inevitable. What I said was that they understood "gridlock" to be a worthy thing to make it harder for the government to do things, especially its natural tendency to do mischievous power grabbing things. That's why they created two separate houses of congress, gave the executive branch veto power, and gave the president no power or authority to make any law (ignoring for discussion that is a long lost relic), and explicitly listed the only things the federal government can do (also a long lost relic).
It makes sense. When wages can’t keep up with high inflation, people spend less. When people spend less, jobs disappear for lack of demand for goods and services.
Wow, can’t speak for Philly, but that’s not what is going on in most cities. https://m.startribune.com/minnesota...s-to-record-low-of-2-2/600174694/?clmob=y&c=n https://local12.com/amp/news/local/...andy-beshear-governor-jobs-economy-wages-ford https://www.al.com/business/2022/05...ate-drops-to-all-time-low.html?outputType=amp
