I do care. I care about who sticks something in children. I care that children are being shown perverted **** at pride parades and shows. I care about decency and common sense. I care about public schools convincing children they are gay or trans behind their parents’ backs. The world is not overpopulated though. It has more people in it of course than years ago. But over populated? That’s a far stretch.
OH! I agree with you multiple-hundreds of percent about anyone who "sticks something in children" and/or "that children are being shown perverted **** at pride parades and shows." That stuff brings out things in me that I must not discuss or I'll get banned for a month! When it comes to "sticking what in who", I'm talking only (ONLY) about two consenting adults -- period! As far as "decency and common sense"...? Forget it. As I said, I'm an old guy, and as far as either of those criteria are concerned, we Americans have far less now than we did several decades ago. All during those especially hideous Obama years, I said, "I want my country back!" Now? By the time anybody with any decency or sense comes back into commanding power, I'm afraid it will be entirely too late! At this rate, imagine how fugged-up everything's going to be by late January 2025, when we may be able to get rid of this idiotic, Democrat-infested cabal.... The upside? Honestly, I fear death now less than I used to!
correct, but they can choose from both sexes, they can not choose who they are sexually attracted too those that think it's a choice only think so cause they are sexually attracted to both genders
Maybe you should have started a thread about that then? You instead started a thread asking about the concept of Gay Pride and a couple of people politely posted to help explain that to you. Do you recognise and understand those explanations, and the misunderstanding that led to your question in the first place?
This doesn't make sense since the typical anti-gay argument is that they choose the attraction as well. They typically deny that a same sex attraction exists at all.
There may be examples of that but it depends on how your define homophobe. Highly religious people who have had it drilled into their heads since age 5 that "gay is evil" get labeled homophobes as well. That is silly. They are religious zealots and quite possibly victims of their religious upbringing. I was raised Catholic and saw homosexuality as being pretty much on par with Satanism and child sex trafficking. And it took me 40 years to completely break free from what was drilled into my head every day for 10 years starting at about age 5.
the only way they can think it's a choice is if they have a choice, which means they are sexually attracted to both genders those are the ones I am talking about, not just the ones that hate cause their religion taught them too
That is flawed logic. If it's a choice, that means anyone could be gay, including them. But that doesn't mean ARE attracted to both genders. It means they could choose to be. This is what convinced me it isn't a choice. You don't choose sexual attraction. It just happens.
yes, if one thinks it's a choice, that is true - they are sexually attracted to both genders and can choose either gender not everyone is bisexual, some are heterosexual, some are homosexual... I did not have a choice - sounds like you did not either
How do you conclude that means THEY are sexually attracted to both genders? What you are saying doesn't make sense. It only means that if what they believed was true, anyone could choose to be gay or bi. It doesn't mean they are.
Ok I think I get where he is going with this. Among the Christians and other anti-gay religious types, we do indeed have a whole segment that accepts that the attractions are not a matter of choice but instead focus on the idea that acting on those attractions is what the sin is, not the attractions themselves. He is saying that those who are claiming that it is a choice, think so because they have attractions to both and thus are actually making a choice to ignore the same sex attractions, and therefore believe that is what is true for everyone. His claim includes the idea that those who are simply heterosexual, and not bisexual with denial, are not believing that it is choice at least in the attraction. However, the argument breaks down in that many of those same people who claim that one chooses to be gay, will also claim that they did not choose to be straight, but they naturally are so, which would throw out the idea that they are attracted to both and denying the choice to be gay. I will have to admit, that his conclusion is logical, if based upon a limited data set. My sister once managed the same type of valid logical conclusion that was wrong based upon lack of other information. She had never been exposed to any kind of underwater video of ducks swimming nor any setting where one could see their feet while swimming. She rightly observed that their tails were moving back and forth as they propelled themselves through water (which occurs based on how they legs and hips are situated). Having seen fish propel themselves that same way, she logically concluded that they moved forward because of that back and forth action of their tails.
if they think there is a choice, they themselves must be sexually attracted to both genders and have a choice or why would they think others have a choice
Well I hope that you understand gay pride isn't about pride in some sort of achievement it's about not feeling ashamed anymore. And the gay not feeling ashamed anymore parade or the gay self dignity parade doesn't seem to roll off the tongue quite as well as a gay pride and we're talking about a synonym.
Last I checked, no one ever made heterosexual marriages illegal in the US or forced straight people into conversion therapy. Except for the people actively making laws against the LGBT community like what just passed in Florida. Again, nobody ever kicked you out of the house for being straight.
